Well phewy, so much for Merchandising
13 years ago
I had planned to sell T-shirts as well as Art CDs at this year's Anthro Con but... sadly I don't think that will be possible.
Firstly, getting a dealer's table requires a bit more than I thought. The cost isn't the issue, it's getting a Tax ID and registering. Add to that, the Dealer Tables are all sold out. So even if I got a Tax ID I'd be hoping SOME one would cancel out.
Even less of a chance is some one canceling who had a power outlet. Which, being a digital artists, I highly require an outlet.
So sadly I don't think the dealer's Den is an option for me this year.
I looked into the artist alley rules and sadly that also is a no go on a few fronts. First off they don't like people selling merchandise there and they limit what you can bring with you as well as space. Even if I just wanted to sit down and sell art commissions I couldn't really do that effectively! Cus guess what? Yup, no power.
You'd think they'd get with the times and not every artist is traditional based anymore?
To that end though I really should practice more traditional art and stop relying on the magic of undo and layer editing.
If I train myself intensely in the next month then maybe... maybe I'll try getting an artist table. I'm pretty good with charcoal and some what okay with colored pencil. I'm perfectly fine at inking it's... the sketch part that I'm REALLY messy with XP
So who knows... maybe artists alley. To that end, is there any "back up generator" or batteries for tablet pc's out there? XD

FA+

As for me, my paper decides when it needs the ctrl Z by bursting into flames >_>
Also, fun fact, most food courts at cons have at least a few outlets, if you're willing to do that XD
all the anime and toy conventions I have been to did though
Either way, I won't get to go to AnthroCon this year. The Pokemon National Championships are also in June, and one trip across the country is all I can afford. -_-;
