aaaaa nonononono
This was my reaction when, in a computer lab, someone walked past my machine, tripped on the power cable to my 2TB external drive, and knocked it to the floor.
Now it is in a permanent vegetative state.
And I do not have $600+ for disk recovery services from Seagate. Thank goodness for backups, but not everything is fully backed up...like my portfolio website I was working on for graduation in a few months.
I need a hug.

did you at least completely flip your shit at the person who was responsible?
I forgive very easily, and besides, the blame doesn't rest entirely on them. If I'd been less lazy about plugging it in, the cord wouldn't have been a trip hazard.
