Live life to the fullest, love with a full heart.
Since I have had the misfortune to witness some egregious examples of bad behaviour in other people's journals and galleries, I am setting forth the rules of conduct for my account. This applies to journals and gallery. Basically, the rules are, behave yourselves. I have no problem with civilized discussion and debate. I do have a serious problem with boorish, ill-mannered behaviour, especially when the offender then tries to cry about their First Amendment rights, or excuse it as a joke, or claim they're simply expressing their opinion or whatever. The First Amendment does not apply here, and anyone who thinks it does is invited to read the text of it. As this is my account, I am the sole arbiter of what is and is not offensive, and those who have offended me will be summarily blocked. No excuses, no appeals. Anyone who feels sufficiently strongly about the matter is invited to take it up with the FA staff.
As a general guide, I am not so delicate that I am offended by the simple appearance of words such as "fuck", "cock" "cum", etc. What does offend me is bigotry, narrow-mindedness, intolerance and hate, generally. Thus, no name-calling. No mocking other people. No mocking me, your hostess. No inciting people to rage or intemperate behaviour. In short, behave as if you were a guest in someone else's home and wanted to make a good impression.

Narrow-mindedness!
Intolerance!
Am I ban-worthy yet?
*prepares straps and gags*
Oh and "CUM CUM CUM CUM CUM CUM CUM CUM!!!"
There's a balance point, I think. I feel like a hypocrite because in the main, I do defend people's right to say what they choose to say. However an account, in my view, is somewhat like a private space, which is why I used the analogy of being invited into someone's home. I guess a closer virtual equivalent would be to leave the offending comment(s) in place (since in the real world, once said it can't be unsaid), but block them for however long I feel is suitable - the virtual version of "I think you've overstayed your welcome" and showing them to the door.
I must think about this some more.
Commenter_1: *slides my hands down your panties, working my fingers into your sweet, tight cunt* Mmmm... you're a horny, nasty little bitch, aren't you? C'mon, little slut... tell me how much you want my thick cock deep in your tight little twat..."
Commenter_2: God yes... I'm a slutty little kitty, and I need you to rape my tight little pussy, please! *moans and squirms against your hand, wanting you to molest me, to sling me down and take me with brutal force...*
I'd consider that RP and at most would just ask the players to take it to notes between them. Or not; I might enjoy reading it. The only reason I'd block them would be if I asked them to take it to notes and they ignored my request.
Commenter_3: Really? You two have to do this here? Get a room FFS. No-one wants to see you having sex in comments here.
That person I'll block, because it's not for them to say who wants to see commenters sexing in comments. My journal, and I don't need their help policing it. It's rude and un-necessary and not their place to tell other people off.
Commenter: FUCKIN GAYS AND HORSECOCKS STOP IT GOD HATES FAGGOTS
Hatefulness and intolerance. Block.
Commenter: U can't block me u cunt i have right to free speech i'll sue your bitch cunt ass if u do
Don't tell me what I can and can't do in my journal. Free speech isn't the issue here, either. And threats of legal action? Seriously... Block.
Commenter: I don't see why you like this so much. The artist did an okay job, but they got the arm all wrong. Why didn't you make them fix it?
Me: I like it because it was a gift. Since Friend bought it for me, it's up to them to ask the artist to fix any problems. Besides, I disagree; the arm is foreshortened. Drop it, please.
Commenter: So you like stuff just because people give it to you? You need to learn how to analyze art. And you're wrong, the arm is fucked up.
Block. I asked you nicely; I won't ask again.
during note RP's almost anything goes.
Like it's been said before... I try to comport myself online as though I were a guest in someone else's home. Alot of kids these days, especially the ones into the whole Internet trolling thing... sheesh. They're like those rockstars who throw wild parties in their hotel-rooms and cause gratuitous amounts of property-damage.
