Free Art Proposal
I'm still thinking about how to approach doing free sketches/drawings.
I think I have an interesting Idea. I'd probably give these out two at a time because they will take me some time to do.
You give me a reference to go off of (IE: Your character) and give me the name of a movie you like. I will watch the movie and illustrate your character within the context of that movie.
I have a modest collection of films myself, my parents have an incredible selection for me to draw from and If need be I will beg a friend to bring it in on their NetFlix Subscription.
Needless to say these won't be as fast as last week, but I plan to go a little more in depth than quick sketching as well.
Anyone interested?
The more interesting the movie the more likely I'll pick you.

Idea 1:
Characters: Jeremy and Berzerker (from any one of my comics)
Movie: Boondock Saints or Snatch
Why you should/must see these movies: Great examples of how senseless violence can go hand in hand with outrageous comedy, all topped off with accents that are inherently funny to westerners!
Idea 2:
Character: Jeremy
Movie: The Long Goodbye
Why you should/must see this movie: Out of all the "noir" and noir-style films I studied to get my film degree, this one was by far the most noir as far as the story and characters went. Never mind that it was in color or from soon after the era had supposedly ended, if you liked Cowboy Bebop, Firefly, Serenity, or anything like that (minus the sci-fi setting), you'll love this one too.
Sneaky devil.
You got to pic one.
Boondock Saints is something that sounded like a Sports Film to me so it never interested me, but now that I look it up it looks semi-interesting, kind of a different take on Death Wish or the Punisher.
I'll set out to locate a copy of The Long Goodbye, I'm anxious to see what imagery it strikes up for the pic.
Snatch and Boondock Saints are actually very, very similar in the fact that they are very stylized action/comedies, more along the lines of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang or Hellboy. I would not even put them in the same category as The Punisher because dispite all the action and violence, the movies are INCREDIBLY funny.
Plus Snatch has Brad Pitt, and Boondock Saints has Willem Dafoe, who are both gods.
