Would you like to see a Ratha graphic novel?

Sheila Ruth (Imaginator Press) and I are exploring the possibility of creating a graphic novel version of Ratha's Creature, The First Book of the Named. To get an idea about reader interest, we are running a survey during April, and are asking people to participate.
If you take the survey, you can be entered to win a $25 gift certificate from the offline or online bookstore of your choice. Please help us our with the survey, and perhaps get something nice to read. Survey ends on 04/30/2012. Thanks!

If we get enough folks who are interested, we'll move to the next step. I hope we do, because I'm really jazzed about this! I've already done some story-boarding, so I thought I'd share a rough sample here on FA.
The project is still in the research stage, and we haven't picked any artists yet. I will be doing some scripting and story-boarding. Since I enjoy working back and forth between images and words, I did a rough page, inked so that it would show up on my digicam photo. This is a rough, not final art. I'm experimenting with panel arrangements, views, character postions, etc. I'm doing it to help me write a better script.
Viergacht/Frogsbreath, our Ratha series cover artist, is also story-boarding and he has done a lovely sample page rough. See it here:

(This is cross-posted from Deviant Art, so if you are there, you may have seen it.)
I know I haven't been on FA for a while, since I've been busy on other sites, such as Google+ and Facbook. And doing art!

I do think the viability of a graphic novel would highly depend on the artist picked for the project since fans of your book already know the story (and being good at producing comics is a different skill set than just art, something to consider)...I'd love to pick up another excellently-written/rendered book like Pride of Baghdad (fictionally following the escape of lions from the Baghdad zoo during the bombing of Iraq), and it's also nice to know your story won't be quite as depressing. <XD Have you read it? Definitely not a graphic novel meant for kids. Gorgeous book, depressing as hell story. <XD
No decisions yet, though.
Oh hey, on a side note, if you click the "Reply to this post" button at the bottom far right of the comment you're replying to, it will let the person you're replying to see that you've replied. :) If you just write a reply without clicking that, the other person won't see it unless they manually check the post themselves. Just fyi. :)
