Okay, here goes!

I want all contestants to compose a themesong for a floating sky city. The time will be at night and the moon will be big and visible. A light and gentle breeze blows by you. The city is a pure silver city, with the moon reflecting off the skyscrapers that seem to reach up to the stars. The city is more of a high tech city rather than a fantasy city, and the ground upon which it is built is land that has crystals sticking out the bottom that allow it to float.

Picture yourself there and compose a song that comes to mind =}

The songs have to be the themesong for the above scene. If you compose something too agressive, it's not going to fall in within specified parameters and my judges will know it.

You can expect the same judging style from them that you'd get from an american idol judge. But of course, they're not going to act like the actual american idol judges. I hope you are looking foward to this as much as I am. I will start working on the song tonight.

You have until the 18th to finish =} and the 21st will announce the results!

Edit 1: OH! I almost forgot. When it comes to prizes, there will be none. It's just a fun thing to do. You'll be critiqued by two of my three judges, who've gone to college for music production so they'll be able to give you a professional opinion on how you did and give you some good feedback =}

Not only that, but I might decide to have all the submissions turned into an album and have Dragoneer promote our work to the rest of the site =}

Edit 2: Rune wanted me to warn you all that while his judging tactics are going to be harsh and abrasive, he really isn't that much of an asshole. He's been a classically trained pianist for eight years and has been a close friend of mine for many years, as well. His conservatory training and impressive background knowledge of modern and popular music are justification for his opinions to be somewhat mean, but he's a really good guy, and only doing it to act like Simon Cowell... So take everything he says as a grain of truth, but don't take anything he says personally.
