Terms of Service

Nothing new here, really. Just reorganizing and moving it to its own separate journal to make my price sheet a little less wordy. =)
For more info about me, and how and what I typically draw, etc, please see my Artist FAQ.
Prices and Payment for Commissions:
Prices listed on my Google Drive spreadsheet are base prices for single character pieces with simple or no backgrounds. They go up depending on the amount of detail and/or background that will be involved in the piece, and the number of characters, as stated there. Please contact me for an exact quote. Please note that shipping varies. Some items ship free, some do not. Shipping listed is based on the estimate of what it costs me in postage and materials. More info on that below. Also, while I'm quite capable of working fast, the speed at which I finish a commission is dependent on several factors. It goes like this:
You contact me and/or fill out my form, and let me know you're interested in a commission. I'll then quote you a price based on what you're looking for. My prices are negotiable to some extent, and I'm sometimes willing to take things in trade for artwork in a barter sort of sense (I have an Amazon wishlist I can provide if you're interested in going that route). Once this is set, I'll work up a sketch for you. PLEASE make sure you've given me as much descriptive information (and reference images if possible) as you can, as this will help immensely in my getting your piece accurate. I'll send you the sketch via an email, or Telegram or Discord, etc. You check things over, let me know if anything needs changing or fixing (within reason! Repeated requests for edits and changes may incur additional costs) and then you send me the payment for the piece. Unsolicited third parties may be eaten. The following payment options are available:
1) With any major credit card via SquareUp (fees will NOT be transferred to the commissioner) Works Internationally.
2) Via PayPal (all major credit cards, electronic transfer from bank account, etc) Works Internationally.
3 Via mailed personal or cashier's check (may require up to two weeks to clear, US funds only).
4) Mailed money order. US funds only.
5) Mailed well-hidden cash at your own risk. I am not responsible for funds which fail to reach me. US funds only, please.
Once I've received payment (and checks have cleared) I'll go ahead with the inks and colors if applicable. I'll show you the piece at each stage of work. If you are not comfortable paying the full amount after the sketch phase, we can work out installments for each phase of the drawing. All payments must be received before the final files and original artwork will be released.
Cancellations and Refunds:
I reserve the right to cancel any commission at any time for any reason I see fit. In a situation where a cancellation becomes necessary the following policy will be followed.
If the commission has been paid in full, up front, and no work has been done, the commissioner may request cancellation and full refund at any time until work begins.
If the commission has been paid in full, up front, and is still in the first or second steps of the process (for full color commissions), a portion of the payment will be retained to cover the cost of the sketch/inks. The remainder of the price will be refunded to the client, and the work completed will be sent to the client either via e-mail or the postal system.
If the commission has advanced to the final step of the process then no cancellation is possible on part of the commissioner. The piece will be completed, and held for a minimum of two months. If the commissioner cannot pay for the piece within that time, I reserve the right to place the piece up for auction to recoup the remainder of the payment.
Small pieces such as badges, art cards, and bookmarks cannot be cancelled once work has begun.
The results of a cancellation on part of the artist will be decided on a case by case basis.
Wait Times, Revisions, and Feedback:
A great deal of the time spent on a commission tends to be either me waiting on feedback or implementing said feedback. Do feel free to poke me any time while I'm working on a piece for you. Reminders are ok if it's been a few days and you haven't heard from me. I won't bite your head off for it, so don't be afraid to do it. A piece may take me as little as a few days, or in the case of larger and more complicated things, a few weeks. Keep in mind that I do have other work to do in addition to being an artist, so this does have an affect on how long it may take me to finish your piece. If you want something fast, catch me on the weekends during a Tigerdile Stream, when I'm open for slots.
As to revisions on a drawing, I am open to reasonable tweaks at the sketch stage, and minor tweaks at the ink stage. Asking me to redraw an entire sketch after a number of small revisions will result in a minimum $15 fee. An entire redo at the ink stage is a minimum $30 fee (obviously if I screw something major up during inking, I'll redo at no cost to you). If you have concerns about getting the colors right, I will happily provide you with a marker or watercolor palette of the colors I plan to use in your piece before I begin, much like this.
Please remember that I am primarily a traditional artist. When I'm working in traditional media, I have no Undo command or Flood Fill button. If you wait until the piece is colored to change your mind, you're either out of luck, or looking at significant fees for me to redo the piece. PLEASE give me good info and feedback along the way so that this doesn't happen!
Pieces are listed in my queue in the order people have contacted me in, but are finished in order of what I feel like working on and by who has paid me. If you want something done OMG RIGHT NOW, as in bumped ahead of other paid pieces in my queue, a rush fee of not less than $30 will apply (fee may go up if complex work is desired). Please note that I will accept only ONE rush job at a time.
Other Business:
I am generally cool with most commission subjects/topics/ratings/fetishes. There are, however, a few things I won't draw:
1. No underaged characters (minors) in sexual situations.
2. I do not draw fan art (trademarked characters) on commission. There is wiggle room for fan-created characters from existing media properties, however.
3. No scat. I don't find poop sexy and have no interest in drawing it, please commission someone else for that.
4. Nothing that glorifies Nazi/"alt-right"/white supremacist imagery.
It should be noted that I release almost all my work under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 License. The copyright on all images produced and the right to make and sell prints of them remains with me, as the artist, unless otherwise negotiated with appropriate royalties/fees/compensation taken into account. I do not sell prints of every piece I make, but if you are uncomfortable with the idea of my selling prints from a commission I do for you, PLEASE discuss it with me up front. I may still include a print of any commission I do in my sample book, but I am generally sensitive to requests that I not make prints of a commission to sell to others.
It is extremely rare that I will draw "private" commissions. I post commissions publicly in my gallery at my discretion. In the case of adult commissions, I can leave names off of pictures or out of the description if you wish. If you want something drawn, but not put out for public viewing, please, talk to me (this does not include you wanting to post it to YOUR public gallery, but not have me post it in MINE. Sorry, that won't fly). Under the Creative Commons license terms, you are also more than welcome to take any commission (or gift art) I've drawn for you and repost it to your own gallery or elsewhere. I only ask that you credit me as the artist who drew it.
Contact Info
You can reach me by email to zannah@rainbowsaber.com. My Telegram account is @Zannah, and my Discord is zannah#1881 if you want to get ahold of me by instant messenger. In a pinch, my public Twitter handle is asholohan. Here's an idea of what I need to work with:
1. Valid email address/FA name/etc where you can be contacted
2. What type of commission you are requesting (sketch, ink, full color, other)
3. How many characters are involved (prices go up depending on number of characters and complexity)
4. Poses and gestures (only if you have something specific in mind)
5. Physical description of the character(s) or image references made by other artists or photographs to help you illustrate your thoughts. Include colors if that applies. Please do not give me additional information that is irrelevant to the image. I don't care if your character's soul is a deep and sensitive well filled with the sparkles of a thousand unicorn farts. What color are their eyes?
6. Background, setting, environment information (only applies to pieces that have a background)
Shipping
I typically ship USPS Priority Mail using flat rate envelopes stiffened with cardboard. For commissions $50 and under, shipping is $7, $10 if you want to add insurance. This is pricing for shipments within the US.
If I can fit your piece into a 6x9 or smaller envelope, I will mail it for less, or possibly even for free if it only costs me a stamp. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR POST OFFICE MISHAPS IF YOU CHOOSE THIS OPTION. I will do my best to make sure your piece arrives safely, but things do occasionally get lost. If you are concerned about First Class postage not reaching you, please add an additional $7.00 to upgrade to Priority Mail, which includes tracking and delivery confirmation. 9"x12" and larger commissions always require additional shipping. Shipping does not stack! If you commission two or three pieces and a handful of prints from me, it stays a flat rate. I do not charge shipping per piece. If you choose, I can also begin a hold envelope for you, into which all your art will go until you choose to have me send it your way. Except in the case of badges, art cards, bookmarks and similar small pieces, your commission package will include any thumbnails, practice sketches, and other materials created for it.
Shipping overseas can vary by country, but it will be $25.00+ for Priority. Shipping costs listed in the spreadsheet are based on an estimate of what it will cost me to mail off your piece via Priority Mail. I may be able to send art First Class at a lower rate if you prefer that option. If you're not from the US and interested in knowing how much it would cost, note or email me with your location, and I'll work up a quote for you.
If you are only interested in the digital copy of a piece, be sure to let me know. I have no problem providing you with a full rez scan of your commission. There will be no shipping charge for digital-copy-only commissions. The same terms of the Creative Commons license still apply, of course.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me either here, or via email.

Might want to use a font color that's actually readable for something that you want everyone, not just users of a particular color style, to read.

OP
Heh, The only reason I did a color change was to break up the sections. I'm not sure there IS one that's readable on both the light and dark backgrounds, unfortunately. I'm using the dark one. I'll try and see if I can find a better color.

Does that work a little better?

A bit, yeah. Thanks.
