Story Time Volume III

Welcome!
NEW ACCOUNT -
Kraest I think the Story Time journals are going to end up like
chrisgoodwin's "Chris Leads a Sheltered Life" journals.
We have a kind of sad story this time. Sad in the literal sense, but also sad in the pathetic sense.
So, all of my IRL friends know that I can't cook. When expressing this to my friends who don't know so, I break it to them by explaining how I burnt two-minute-noodles three times in two days. There's one cooking story that I don't often share, though, but I figure I'll share it now.
An ex-roommate of mine has only 5% of his ability to smell (can’t remember why), and I tried making meatloaf once. He walked into the kitchen, took a big whiff and said, “No, dude, I can’t eat that.”
I tried making mashed potatoes with it, but it came out with the consistency of cold cookie dough, and was drier than trying to eat sand, and I had already put in four times the amount of milk that was supposed to go into it.
I actually cried over how awful that food was.
The worst part was that, because it cost so much for me to get all of the ingredients to make it all, I ended up eating all of it because I didn’t want to waste the $30 I spent on it and nobody else would come near it.
