That's right; I've been seeing all kinds of raffles out and about, and I thought I would try my hand at one to try and spread the word. And this isn't your usual kind of raffle, either...
This raffle will consist of sixteen combatants -- and yes, I do say combatants, that will duke it out for the grand prize!
But what does this mean, you say?
This means that I will be taking all of the entrants, and writing a short story about their duels, each having both a winner... and a loser. Each winner will then move on to the next round, until only one character stands on top and walks away with the prize.

But how do I win, you say?
Each winner, as with the lineup, is determined by a random number generator so that every character will have a chance to win. But to get a head start... you might want to find some Rooters.
Gain yourself Rooters by advertising for this raffle and your participation in it. The more Rooters you have, the higher your chances! To start out, everyone has one Rooter; themselves. So, the chances at the beginning are 1:1. But if people gain Rooters... their odds will change, becoming 2:1, 3:1, 3:2 etc. and Rooters will carry with the combatant until they lose (or win!). Rooters may also make guest appearances in the fights, aiding their chosen fighter.

How do you choose the combatants?
It's first come, first serve.

I reserve the right to decline any entrants that don't fit the setting, though some silly entrants may be accepted.
How long will the stories be?
Not incredibly long, but long enough to get the point across. 500-1000 words, maybe more. The closer to the finals, the more intense the fights.
What kind of content will these stories have?
Being fight sequences, they will likely have gore, and may earn a mature rating.
Do I have to watch you?
No, but it is suggested so that you can keep track of contest updates.
What do I get if I win?

Character Abilities/Weapons (important): Bone blade tail, her bones in her tail are stronger then steel. Tail contains soul reserve if she dies. Her blue and purple in her fur glows and she can control it to disable the glow. Toxic blood and poisonous saliva. Wings can grow to full length to fly (rarely does it since it is very painful)
Character Personality (also important): Rash, insane at times, manipulative
Other Comments: Natural survivor, Stubborn and will never back down. If she dies and revives with soul reserve she will go into a berserker state and her fur a solid black for a short time, usually til out of steam, knocked out, or panics.
I'm guessing that the soul reserve has to recharge, or does it last infinitely? Because I may have to change it so she can be defeated, haha.

Character Abilities/Weapons (important): A polearm he can summon at will, is also a Pyromancer and Necromancer of sorts. He prefers to control the bones of the dead around him rather than the physical bodies. With it he can form armor with it (similar in looks to this, except with bones instead of metal link )
(I realize this may be a lot of powers so feel free to remove the pyromancing)
Character Personality (also important): He's rather uptight and by the books, doesn't usually get involved with anything unless it is either for his own personal gain or that of his lover. Very sarcastic and jaded whenever he speaks, and it usually rather condescending despite him not always meaning it to be so. Tries to get inside people's heads to manipulate him through his clever subtle wording and mind play.
Other Comments: Thanks for the chance? I dunno what to put here really. He's about the age in his mid to late twenties. Usually makes jokes about his "horrible ex wife". If you have any questions just ask...I have so much info on this character.
Also quick note he can still see rather well without his glasses. They're more for reading signs in the distance than anything....And I love him too. Way too much. X3 Thanks again for the chance.

Character Personality: Cold but loyal, he doesn't leave his partner hanging. He is good at hurting people and takes a small enjoyment in the win. He is better being told where to go and what to do but he can handle himself. He doesn't care about gender when it comes to fighting.

Dang, it seems Aether is popular haha.
I am a black fox, purple eyes and white hair. roughly looking 18-19 yet he is alot older. he has a white l'cie brand on his right hand (look it up on google if need be) and his weapon is a gunblade known as enkindler. identical to the one in ff 13. he uses elemental magic like fire, wind, ice, water, and thunder. or spells that are like pain and poison. yet he rarely summons the dragon tiamat unless hes close to death. he mixes his magic with tiamats to use wind acana. or in more common terms, a huricane. thats about it.

I was just wondering if she had any melee weapons as well, because most other characters seem to be melee oriented. Not saying I won't allow her other weapons, but it's going to be a bit tricky to balance.

Character Personality (optional): Ainoko is a 7 foot tall crossbreed otherwise known as a Cheolf whose shiny black fur is medium length with dark near black red markings (just like a cheetah's), there is a sapphire blue slash across his left eye and he has a pair of shoulder length pink braids, his tail is long, barely dragging the ground before curling up. From a casual glance, he appears to look like a wolf but that is misleading. Although the wolf is dominant in his genes and body, there are feline characteristics that do show. The most striking feline feature you would notice about him is his eyes, they are bright intense yellow bordering on gold. His muzzle is shorter than other wolves and is feline in appearance. His wolf stature is softened from his feline bloodline; he possesses both the grace and agility of both bloodlines. Unlike all of the wolvine stock, he can retract his claws, making him a formidable opponent in any fight. He possesses special powers that few furs realize. He has the ability to control the planets electrical field with a mere thought, and he also has the limited ability to read others minds (Though at this time, he has yet to discover these powers). His two primary weapons of choice are a 7.5’ long staff and a dirk, the blade is 30' long and 1.5' wide with barbed edges, the blade has a blood channel running most of it's length with ornate etchings on it as well, it also has two 9' semi-ridged whip-like blades flanking the main blade. With the hilt, the dirk is 38" long (the dirk can be found here: www.furaffinity.net/view/3614859/ ). The hilt is bound in leather with various small gems and filigreed gold thread woven in it and a blood red emerald set on the pommel, it also has a matching scabbard that leaves the whip blades exposed.
As stated, he possesses traits from both bloodlines of his parents. His anatomy is normal except in a few areas. His cock is approximately 9”in length, and in addition to the knot, it does have barbs running from just under the head, down the shaft and ending right before the knot. He is protective of those whom he does consider his friends and will fight for them if necessary. He loves to cook and if given the chance he will show off his skills. He is very clean and organized where he works, but unfortunately, that doesn't translate to him keeping his living area clean and tidy. He prefers the company of other males over females, especially when they are getting intimate. When he is in bed with another male, he is very submissive and rarely dominate. He does enjoy most things that his lovers are into, but draws the line at some things. He is very protective of children, especially those of his family, basically, if your hurt a child, you hurt him. He has few things that he enjoys in his life. Give him a good book, and he will curl up in a corner reading it. He enjoys music as well, but is horrible at keeping in tune when singing along with the music.

He gives the appearance of preferring to be a lone wolf in the world, by deep inside craves the company of strangers, friends and family, but hates being in crowds, being in large crowds makes him extremely uncomfortable. Although he hates being in crowds, you can never tell it from his attitude, he will give the impression that he knows what he is going to do and what he is doing at all times. Once he considers you a friend, he will be there for you for moral support.
He is protective of those whom he does consider his friends and will fight for them if necessary. He loves to cook and if given the chance he will show off his skills. He is very clean and organized where he works, but unfortunately, that doesn't translate to him keeping his living area clean and tidy. He prefers the company of other males over females, especially when they are getting intimate. When he is in bed with another male, he is very submissive and rarely dominate. He does enjoy most things that his lovers are into, but draws the line at some things. He is very protective of children, especially those of his family, basically, if your hurt a child, you hurt him. He has few things that he enjoys in his life. Give him a good book, and he will curl up in a corner reading it. He enjoys music as well, but is horrible at keeping in tune when singing along with the music.

A short summary of his capabilities, like a one paragraph compressed version of the first link would be: Ichi-gou's primary skillsets are stealthiness, an absolutely insane level of physical strength and durability, powerful electromagnetic generation and manipulation capacity, plasmic energy control, a variety of advanced weaponry, and a limited level of magic copying ability.
Character Personality: Ichi-gou has the determined and lethal mindset of a highly skilled and focused soldier....coupled with a strong dose of snarky prick.
He is a good guy, make no mistake about that. If you were to plot him on a character alignment chart he'd likely place pretty squarely as a chaotic-good type. He doesn't tolerate innocent bystanders being drug into conflicts, he doesn't tolerate allies getting abused, and he has a very strong sense of justice. And if it looks like a comrade is in danger of losing their life Ichi-gou isn't shy about dragging them out of the situation even if they themselves couldn't stand the thought.But he's pretty well known for having a smart mouth and a grating superiority complex.
And he will, make no mistake, will, viciously annihilate any opponent put against him. Ichi-gou might not be willing to let partners get killed and isn't shy about removing them from situations they can't handle, but he himself does not retreat from combat once it's engaged. He's even been known to haul a partner out of danger and then go back to finish off whomever it was that needed a dose of stabbing. And when combat begins opponents will find that he has accumulated enough experience in his various encounters throughout the Multiverse that he is very quick to adapt and adjust to almost any sort of opponent, using any and whatever means are necessary to take an opponent out of action. His rapid healing ability and extremely high resistance to physical trauma means he's not above plowing through obstacles to get at a foe, shrug off damage if it means surprising an opponent, or devastate an entire area for the sake of gaining an advantage.
And he is not, repeat, not at all gender biased. Ichi-gou takes a very direct and pure stance when it comes to fighting opponents. He's as inclined to kick a lady in the vagoo as he is to kicking a guy in the junk, or using the more brutally designed parts of his body, such as his armor cutting jaws, to take an opponent's throat out.
Other comments: The base abilities of this character are geared towards some very intense sorts of combat. Ichi-gou was actually the winner of the 2011 Grand Tournament, which called on fighters from multiple forums across the net, and in the 2006 and 2008 tournaments he placed as either a finalist or quarter finalist while going through multiple scales of power and combat types.
This means it's perfectly acceptable to scale Ichi-gou's capability to fit the theme of a particular battle, if you choose. Ichi-gou's accustomed to having his abilities curtailed, and while he might complain about it he'd adapt as needed. Or you can have him come in as a wild-card.
Wade's a lot more willing to go after bystanders and such than Ichi-gou is.

Thats good..alot of the tournaments sort of like this on DA are kill only..don't know why....people there just like gore more than here.
Meh..for me..I'd rather not advertise because to me thats sort of cheating. Basickly asking for votes, besides people hardly ever read or reply any journals I put up so wouldn't get much out of it..just have nothing but characters that fight, thats all.
But yeah, it was originally going to be a bit more gory, etc. but I decided to cut it down a bit so I could submit them under general.
I don't have a big problem with gore..just seen alot of people do it badly..like just to rub it in they won and such. Now if it was asked first that would be cool, that way the people that like gore would be happy and the ones that don't are happy.
