Glad you are safe and all that. that story kinda sounds like you where minutes away from getting tranquilized with chloroform or something...
To bad about the hard-drive too :( as a computer tweakers that has encountered every problem i can understand how a broken hard-drive can suck.
Especially when you gotta restore all its content.
and yeah, it sucks, but since I could get back all my files, it's not AS bad
