She enjoys portraying herself as a half-aware and dimwitted beast, drunken in the stupor of her own bodily composure.
Chartreux is a dragon (anthro). He is Chanda's lover, and a bit condescending. And creepy.
For those who don't know, Nigel is a nephil - an anthro feline, of a stature just a bit taller and stronger than a human.
I had this idea for dialogue between the two of them while microwaving some chicken nuggets. :3 It takes place in Hell, in a particular place fraught with particularly lethal and horrid beings. The concept is still sketchy, but simple enough to portray...for now.
Enjoy.
Chartreux: Lower your voice.
Nigel: What?
Chartreux: ...Do you want to be sent back?
Nigel: Back? Yes! Yes I do!
Chartreux: No you don't.
Nigel: ...Huh?
Chartreux: ...It is not in your best interests to be discovered, and sent back in pieces...
Nigel: PIECES?!
Chartreux: LOWER YOUR VOICE!
Nigel: !!!
Chartreux: ...They will hew your body in ways you could never imagine, until not a single strip of flesh remains upon your bones. To reform you from such a state would be a daunting task, and one that I do not care to undertake. If you wish to traverse this land and reach your destination in one piece, you will stay to me, and keep your mouth shut. Furthermore...
Nigel: ...Yeah...?
Chartreux: ...You are annoying.
Nigel: !
Chartreux: And you are beyond your mother's care. Should I fall to craving, I would not hesitate to ravage your body once more, and devour of you what I find tasteful myself.
[suspenseful narration]
Chartreux: Consider yourself favored to have stumbled upon me, nephil. But in me, you'll find no protector nor savior. Your body is pliable. And my loins are wanting...
Nigel: !!!
Chartreux: Come. And stay near me, or I will leave you to naught.
Chartreux isn't exactly a 'team player'...
The reason he is with Chartreux is because simply, he found Chartreux. He's with him in Hell because he met him by chance and, to an extent, looks up to him as a guardian (he has a personal problem with loving large creatures or people, and respecting their power, which can lead to confusing circumstances.).
He doesn't like Chartreux. And he doesn't even trust him - not enough for comfort. He just wants someone to protect him (he's generally too accustomed to being cared for by someone who's very powerful...).
