Man, that is certainly the biggest hernia I've ever heard of. Have you tried applying for disability, Medicaid or anything similar? I don't know the public assistance system very well sans EBT stuff, but maybe talking to one of them would point you in some directions for low-cost to no-cost medical assistance?

I wish you all the luck in the world. My bf and I both know what it's like to be in pain but still have to/need to work.

Depending on where you live, there are often times walk-in clinics that will take care of that for you. Or going into the emergency room.

In 2004 i had a hernia above my navel operated on and i had Charity Care at that time. I think u might qualify for charity care. Not sure if it's different in your state though but it cant hurt to try.

One option to consider is if you live near Canada, they have free medical care in that country to anyone that needs medical care. Granted it will probably take a few assement appointments before they actually proceed with the operation.

If it is that bad go to the hospital, you can fill out paper work for the patient assistance program unfortunately thats what i have to do for myself. Huntsville hospital is where you want to go ..i hope this will help you. ITs a pain but once you get all the paper work done , like me you should get approved for full charity. they provide financial assistance for people like us.

I also looked at that picture im not sure that is a hernia that could be something else , i dont want to scare you but it kinda looks like a tumor of some sort my sister had a hernia it did not protrude like that. you really need to go to the hospital and get that checked out before it becomes life threatening or something. they will provide financial assistance

That is a very serious issue you have there. I am not a medical doctor or a physician of any kind, but I have never seen a hernia that large before. I agree with Spaceranger108, you need to get to the hospital immediately, you will easily qualify for charity care. You need to get your health restored before you can get back to work and back to living. I don't know much about you, in fact, I don't know anything about your past or your family. so please do not get upset or mad if I ask this: would your parents or any other family members be open to having you stay with them while you get this medical issue taken care of?

holy shit dude, that thing is freakin huge! If I were you, i'd look into getting medicade, and if they won't fix it because of it being a pre-existing condition, then go to the emergency room. In that condition, they would take you whether you have a job and insurance or not and can set you up with a payment plan that can be very cheep. If anything, call your local hospital and ask them what you can do. You need to go to the hospital dude, there's no other way, you must go there asap. The hospital can help you with getting everything setup for a paying, and if you're lucky, they may do the surgery as a charity thing, but idk.

I'm not sure which county you are in, but click on the correct one to get their number. Letting that get any more worse is not an option. The hospital should be able to tell you if there is an non profit organization(Church mostly) that can help you pay for the surgery. The state office of health should be able to tell you if you qualify for state/federal aid. Please call them! *Hugs*
