UK TV Show Looking for Fursuit Sex - STAY AWAY!
General
I've just received an email from the TV company TwoFour Broadcast. They want to do a TV special about fursuit sex for their "Body Shockers" TV show which is on E4.
DO NOT entertain these people. They may say that they want to " make sure that the community is represented favourably" but all they want is sensationalism.
Quote from the email: "We are ultimately after a fursuiter who also indulges in more adult activities whilst wearing the suit,"
Do not believe anything they say, they will take you and say "LOOK AT THIS FREAK! THEY WEAR COSTUMES THAT COULD BE AROUND YOUR CHILDREN!"
For the LOVE of whatever you hold dear, do NOT speak to these people.
Please please pass this around. Everyone in the UK fandom must know about this. Tweet it, blog it, let everyone know that they MUST stay away from TwoFour Broadcast.
Thank you.

It's a joke that they say they will "show the fandom favourably" when purposefully asking for someone who has sex in suit ¬_¬
Advice worthy of ALL media outlets.
Yay the fandom is open minded. I forgot that particular.
Unfortunately, some idiot will sign up to do this. It will be a cringeworthy embarrassment and, if it were up to me, I would make it perfectly clear on UKfur, IRC and other sites that anyone who does sign up to this is no longer welcome in the community.
Sorry, couldn't resist to say that...
Heh maybe its something to consider a standard warning all furries to know about these 'companies' and treat them with contempt...or humour.
Point them to fat cat bankers their fetish for dressing in suits and raping taxpayers outta be trashy enough for them.
Having worked in that field I know that ultimately you are 100% correct, I would love for TV to actually look at society and how divers and interesting it all is. However the producers etc are wanting as big a drama fest as possible as that means more viewers and in-turn more money for them! If any one goes on the show with ideas of putting forward a good face of the fandom and not really talking about sex etc, I assure you they will edit it in such a way you will be saying the worst things possible.
Remember no hateful emails in response as that will just give them back up material for when they hopefully cant fined any one willing to go on the show.
Of course it's likely the first ones to pick up the pitchforks and torches against the furs who partake in this show are likely guilty of doing the same fetish themselves.
Cause and effect, there is a reason why these shows continue to occur, there is a reason why when I go into the general public, furries are frowned upon. It's because of the furries. You might blame the shows but hey, it's not like they just make this shit up out of the blue. They mention it because they go inside the furry fandom and investigate. A reporter would be pretty lame if they just made totally wild claims without some kind of evidence.
This show when it's done and over will have no effect on us, because the public already is iffy with us and this kind of thing has already happened. If anything I assume after this show there will be even more people signing up for the fandom to get in on all the kinks.
Back in the day, we didn't need to fight among ourselves all the time, nor were we saturated with porn. Then, the media left us alone because we were no where near sensational enough for there "WTF" factor. Well now we are.
But that kind of show is not the one to put the fandom forward in the channel its self is for comedy and crap. If any one goes on that show they will twist what ever is said to what ever they want to be said, editing and voice overs can completely change your sentence from meaning one thing to another, most people wont buy it but the mass media goes out there will eat it up because hey TV wouldn't lie!

The wording of the e-mail sent to paw-fox is pretty clear on what they're after. They are really not trying to hide it.
(also, why aren't I following you and Jenna on FA already?! *adds*)
The media has made one or two expeditions into the fandom and thus is still mysteries and new to the viewer and thus brings in the punters. As I said in the next few years it will be a jaded topic like Star Trek fans dressing up and talking klingon.
well tried to do my bit and spread the word via Titternets
This time they're saying "Lets concentrate on the sex!" It'd be ironic if they then concentrated on the mundane side of furry...
If they contact me, I'll happily invite them out to my favourite wood...and leave them there without showing up. Nothing like an empty woodland and a wasted trip to tell them "NO!"
Spread this around!
Can they just worried more importantent things like serial murders?
Whoops, they cant. They just have to target innocent people with weird bedroom fetishes from normal people who have the right to do those kinky stuff without telling those experiences to us to prevent us from having bad thoughts about those normal people with weird intrests.
We'll just have to wait untill the show comes live to experience our ultimate bane of existance, people without respectable opinions!!!
God this will be pure facepalm moment in every second....
God bless my sanity. *prays*
