AudioSurf Meme - Retry! [Better idea~]

General
Okay, so here's the deal.
Last time I tried making my AudioSurf meme idea, it didn't seem to pan out. Sure, I got about 9 participants, which is good, but really, the problem was the sheer volume of songs (and I'm not pointing fingers, I think I had more than anyone!) -- from my own point of view, the problem was that there was too many. I'd open up one of your guys' files, and just be like... "Oh hell." And go play one of my own songs -- and it seems like mostly everyone did that, too. x3
With good reason!
So I've been thinking, and if you tried it last time, I'd like you to participate again, if you'd like~ I was lookin' at Guitar Hero, and it's huge mass of songs -- why isn't it so intimidating? It's because it's broken up into small sections of five. So how about this -- let's do it again, only this time, pick five of your favorite, most-played songs, bundle 'em up in a .zip file, and upload 'em to MegaUpload (https://www.megaupload.com) or any other means through which you can allow your friends here to grab 'em. <3
Then, with such a small grouping, you can maybe give a small description of them individually, beforehand, so the viewer'll know what kind of genre it is and stuff, and maybe a little about the songs themselves. :3 That's what I'm gonna do, anyways, 'cause I'm a ho-bag. All-in-all, I'd feel much more compelled to play through a select few of a friend's favorites if it was presented like that. Would give us a little score-comparing on some of the songs we play most. I love getting into a score-war with someone, each day trying to get higher'n higher. x3
I at least will play through anyone's five-song-set, who chooses to participate with me.
And I will offer some competition if it's offered back. ;3
Alright! Well I'll proceed with my five-song rundown for anyone who cares~ <3
1) Stickerbrush Symphony, by David Wise (Video Game)
My all-time favorite song ever. Calm, relaxing, ambient, perfect for the misty bramble-ridden stages it was played upon. This is a direct rip from the game, so all of it's video-gamey goodness has been preserved. (Also, this song was remastered in Super Smash Brothers: Brawl as "Bramble Blast".)
2) Time's Running Out, by Cirrus (Breakbeat)
I first heard this song in the PS1 game, Twisted Metal 4. I was infatuated with it, it was so powerful and fast -- a perfect mixture of synthetics and real instruments. I didn't know the song's name at the time (As I only ever played the demo of the game, which didn't have appropriate credits), and I wanted the song so badly that I bought the full-version game just to rip the song from it.
3) Not another Comic Bakery remix, by Stuart Wilson (Trance)
"Comic Bakery" was a well-known Commodore 64 game way back in the day, and it's title theme is one of the most well-known Chiptunes ever made, and this remix pays tribute to an addictingly awesome song by mixing modern synthetic technology with that of old-school electronics. <3
4) Lite l'sa tankar, by tPORt (Chipsynth)
I know nothing about this song's origin, or it's creator. I found it on https://www.keygenmusic.net amongst a huge file of chiptunes that were ripped from serial-key generators. The creator(s?) is russian, and the website is just garbled nonsense to me. Either way, it's one of the best chippy songs I've ever found.
5) A Brighter Day, by Scott P. Schreer (Piano Solo)
A nice, simple, slow Piano Solo to end off the set. Or begin it, it's your choice~ I've always been fond of this one. I can hardly think of a song that's more bright and happy sounding -- "A Brighter Day" is the perfect name for it. (P.S. - I was finally able to earn "Spotlight Finish" playing this song.)
Okay!
tl;dr?
1) Get Audiosurf (You do have it, don't you?)
2) Gather together five of your favorite songs
3) Make sure they have proper tags, or at least SOME tags (not unknown: unknown)
4) Zip 'em all up and host 'em on a site like MegaUpload or a personal site
5) Make a journal like this one, post it for download, talk about it a little if you
want
6) Post a link to it here, so my list can grow bigger
7) Copy my list into your journal, so it gets spread around
8) Download other people's and have a little competition ;3
Here's the list of people who've participated.
I will update this both on this journal, and in future journals.
Hell, I might just make it my journal signature thingy~
