In my art class at school we have to do surrealist selfportriats so I'm drawing my fursona XD it's so cool :3 I just figured the world would want to know that

8. a big old fashioned chest maybe, or a door? The key looks like it's old enough to have come from the medieval ages so whatever is unlocks has to be equally as old.

I usually give free reign to the artist. One thought I had was kind of a lower-perspective viewpoint of me as a feral on a cliff's edge, looking out from it, from the front. Kind of a inspirational or hopeful piece. Wings either out or folded. But that's just an idea. If you have one, I'm easy to please. I'm just glad to help. :)

*thinks hard* It isn't 0, because adding 18 to 0 is 18. If you had "X" and "Y" I could solve it, possibly, but not using the same number...
I'm thinking it's a negative number, because any negative multiplied is a positive. Squaring it comes before taking it times 2. 12X< x squared X2 by 18... (I don't know how to superscript.)
12x - 18 = X squared times 2...(Is that right?) Hmmm...Then a negative won't work...

2X 2 + 12X + 18 = 0
2 (X 2 +6X +9) = 0 pull out the common factor of 2
( 2 (X 2 +6X +9)) /2 = 0 /2 divide both sides by 2
you are now left with
X 2 +6X +9
now you need to find factors of 9 that add to 6
i.e. 3 and 3 (3+3=6, 3*3=9)
so you split the polynomial into
X + 3 = 0 and X + 3 = 0 and continue solving for X
X + 3 -3 = 0 -3 and X + 3 -3 = 0 -3
X = -3 and X = -3
tah-dah!
PS you superscript by putting(remove spaces for it to work) [ sup ] in front of the text you want to superscript and [ /sup ] and the end of what you want to superscript
I think you confused us when you said there were two answers. "X" is one answer, though used twice in the equation. I think we were trying to find two different numbers that worked. That's why people put both the positive and negative numbers.

well you look for factors of 9 that add to 6 because you are trying to turn the polynomial into a binomial which makes it easier to solve and gets rid of the square. and technically since you get 3 twice it counts as 2 answers and was supposed to be a bit of a trick question ;) but enough with that :p next time it will be a trig question! well there probably wont be a next time XD haha
Trig?! All I recall is how to solve for a 30-60-90 right-angle triangle. Plus I think a circle's area is Pi times radius squared...but circumferince is Pi times diameter. Solving for other tringles / just angles I wish I recalled.
