Why hello there furryworld!
How goes it? I'm back from visiting my super good friend
(or 
if you prefer)!!!
Had a pretty good time down there... sooo story time :D
Thursday:
Woke up at 4:15am after sleeping for about an hour (yaaaay hating flying) to a loud thunderstorm outside. Checked my phone and no delays so I hopped in the car and my dad drove me to the airport. No big deal, security was easy that early in the morning. Still raining out pretty hard as I boarded my plane to Jersey, I was already feeling nervous as hell when the plane took off... the first few minutes bumpy as all hell. Just as I had settled down I looked out the window to see a huge bolt of lightning off the wing followed by shaking and a sudden drop long enough to have more than one person on the plane scream of let out an "oh god!" (not me, I was too busy panicing xD). Needless to say after a few more minutes the clouds went away and we landed shortly after. In short: the worst plane ride I've had eeeeeever. It was okay though! Rath met me at the airport and we went back to his apartment where I promptly slept all day while he worked.
Friday:
We woke up and headed to NYC to meet up with
Much fun was had, visting a few key places and eating a lunch that cost far too much money and was a terrible miscalculation by Tornado... Ah well, wasn't too bad. Hit up a few key tourist places, as well as a few somewhat geeky places (wooooo Nintendo World). It was a pretty good time with the three of us, ended with a trip to an arcade and Rath consuming faaaaaaaar too much sugar. Said goodbye to Tornado and ran through Penn station as we tried to find our train... only to remembered we needed to by tickets on the floor above...
Luckily we made it and took the train to meet up with
wanderkojak and 
JimmyWolf
Drove up to FA:U and arrived a few minutes after reg closed. Hung out in the con suite for a little bit as I adjusted to being at my first con... shellshocked is a pretty good way to describe it. Really just sat there with Rath and watched TV, took a little to adjust to being around other furs... suppose I was still in stealth mode a bit.
Saturday:
Rant and I passed the hell out pretty early and registered in the morning. The second day was much better, hanging out in the con suite with everyone, drinking some awesome coffee (I can't remember who was running it but damn you made good stuff D=). We went to breakfast with Kojak and
akaiguma to a pancake place where I was served the biggest god damn omelet I've ever seen... ALONG with pancakes @.@. Ate what I could, gave some away to Rath (who is THE food disposal BTW).. as did Kojak who offered a red velvet pancake and whipped cream (NOT whipped butter) which Rath quickly took and made what can only be described as a taco of sorts and ate it in like one bite (http://db.tt/Ka326P8g)
When we got back we made our way down to the game room and played some SSB, did pretty well for someone who hasn't played in a loooong time. Looked over to see a MLP fighting game and a huge crowd around it... wasn't surprised at all xD. More hanging out at the con suite and meeting more people (Rath new a ton of them... despite all my apparent "popufur-ness" people like to throw at me no one knew me... except for...)
Met
Kobura who happened to be a fan of mine and Rath's and it was kinda surreal. He was nice to hang around though... gave good hugs too :3
Poked around the dealer's den and bought these cool dragon figures that are a part of a breeding game based on Mendelian genetics which the science geek in me thought was awwweeesome. Helps that the figures were cute though xD. Picked up another badge that I had to have shipped to me (>3> *readies explanation for parents of random package*). Back to the con suite and more hanging out and talking along with some Kirby game on the Wii. Eventually it was time to go and Rath's mate picked us up, bringing us back to his apartment. More hanging out and then all passing out again.
Sunday:
Rath had to be back at work in the morning so I spent most of the day hanging with his mate and watching stupid videos on youtube. Napped for a bit and then he came home for a little before we had to leave for the airport. Pretty much had to drop me off and say goodbye, big hugs from me and a wimp out before I walked away before I texted him to tell him that I loved him (as as friend before anyone says anything :P) Easy flight home and arrived back in Maine around 11pm. Came home and passed out.
Overall, they were an awesome few days. A few ups and downs (Yes, something involving that journal the other night), but soooo worth the struggle I put up with trying to get down there. I'm glad to be home, but I miss my dragon already. Might be awhile before I get to go anywhere again, but that trip was so fun I don't mind.
TL:DR
Had a good few days down with Rath, went to my first con, and I'm back home safe now! :D
