Now I'm a happily married man, I thought the turn-of-the-month begging for business (I'm still trying to flog the ROMANCE and FUNNIES packages of comix, $20 each, postage appreciated) or commissions, was a thing of the past. Nope.
I may not be living in it anymore, but I still gotta pay rent on the condo, as I'm using it for a studio, now. A couple of unexpected expenses have come up (next year's Further Confusion hotel room had to be paid in full, NOW) - and I was perhaps a trifle too generous to an old acqaintance or two, who were even worse off than me. Hey, at least I got food and a place to sleep, yes? That puts me ahead of depressingly many people.
