Contest objective:

Create a Pokemon themed illustration that fits into the canon pokemon realm.

Deadline: January 3rd (edited)

Guidelines:

1.Trainers must be human and at least one human character from the image must be an original OC. If you choose to draw your OC and Brock hanging out with your teams, thats fine.

2. There must be at least 1 pokemon in the illustration. You do not need to include trainers if you wish to just draw pokemon.

3. While backgrounds aren't technically required, they are suggested because without one it leaves an illustration feeling out of place or dull unless you have enough pokemon/trainers to fill up the space.

4. Entries must be rated for general audience. If it wouldn't be aired on the television show, don't draw it please.

5. Must be a new image and not something you created prior to the contest.

Entries will be judged on:

1. How well it fits into the feel of the canon pokemon world: The setting, character interaction, color schemes, overall atmosphere should all reflect the show/games/etc. This does not reflect your drawing style. I do not want you purposely drawing in the style of the show. I would like to see the illustration drawn in your style.

2. Complexity, creativity, concept, composition, and color theory(the artsy stuff): while staying within guidelines. A picture of a pikachu eating an apple with a simple grassy field background compared to a full out battle illustration or an image of goldenrod city at night, full of pokemon about is way different in presentation.

Prizes:

First Place: Gets $80 of commission credit.
Second Place: gets $50 of commission credit.
Third Place: gets $30 of commission credit.

If entry number gets above 20 entries, then I will include 4th and 5th place prizes along with upping the prizes for the current 1st-3rd place.

Commission credit must be redeemed within a week of the winners being announced. Prizes will be worked on in between school. All outstanding commissions and trades will be finished by the time. (No commissions will be taken between now and the ending of this contest). You can add money onto your credit via paypal to upgrade a commission. (example: lets say you wanted a $50 commission but only won $35 in credit. You could paypal me $15 more.)
