I was at MFM this past weekend and had lots of fun didnt really do a whole lot but did have a lot of fun.
Thursday
9 hours on the road saying to myself "am i there yet???? im bored!" then after getting there i hung out with my roommates for a while then about 9 got to stand in line for registration then went to bed.
Friday
got up kinda early hung out by the dealers room talking to some of my art friends and friends that dont do art. made a few new friends. Made someones day, what happened was dude was spending all sorts of money and time at a bubble gum machine that had little button things in it and he was there and spent about 15 minutes just plugging quarters into it. He stopped to dig in his pockets for more change i asked if i could do my two quarters before he resumed he said sure. So i put my first quarter in, get a little button, put the second quarter in got the winning button. Everyone around the table was like "oh wow" they looked at the guy who just spent all his time and money there and said "man that sucks you spend all that time, and next person gets the one you spent all that money on" i looked at the guy then the artists and was like "you know what....................here" i gave the guy the winning button (the prize was a sketch, buttons, or a shirt i think) the guy just looked at me like i just handed him a gold bar and said "You just made my con and this is my first one, thank you so much!!" i smiled and went on about my business. Later that night i signed up for a Furoticon tourney and well i got my ass kicked so bad. But i did a move the guy selling the stuff had never seen and even said "ive been doing this for years and thats the most dickish thing ive seen done!!" For those that have played Furoticon i used the card "Sixty Nine" on this persons two "Alpha Wolves" what they do is give each other +1 to each and they only have 5 health so the attacks they did to each other was 5 so one card took out both of them. went to play werewolf of the dark arts and had lots of but i got to play the town drunk......NEVER be the town drunk! i kept getting lynched first turn of voting was not fun!
Saturday
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much stuff happened this day. So much i cant go into much detail but the big things are this. Went to the charity auction and me and one of my friends got into a bidding war over a bottle of booze, he won it as he paid 300 dollars for it. I managed to pick up some sake and a flogger for 85 bucks. Later that night after loosing in a poker tourney me and my friends started hooking up for some partying and drinking, we just kept getting more and snowballing meeting other people and hanging out with them and we had an awesome time. i got sooooooooooooooooooooo drunk when i crashed my roomates told me i was talking in my sleep like boomhower from king of the hill. by the end of the night i apparently found a bunch of drinking buddies that next year people are talking about opening up a bar for us to run (which would be awesome!).
Sunday
Simply sobered up then hang up and talked to some of my friends that i meet and hung out with the people i talked too saturday night. got some friends to go out to marlowes (best bbq ive ever eaten) and while we were out Issac decided it wanted to hit the con. as soon as i pull into the parking lot i get a text message from my roomy that the power got knocked out and everyone was hurdled into the amphatheatre. we worried a little but we just kept doing things at the food place (i cant spell restaruant right sue me!) and on the way back we pulled up into the parking lot and as we did the power came back on to the hotel so when we walked in we were like "we left and took the power with us and when we came back we brought it back too" and one of my friends said "NEXT TIME ASK!" we had a good laugh and went to bed
Monday
waiting on friends to get ready to have a small convoy home (as alot of us were all heading the same direction) i get a call from a friend who broke down and needed help. i keep a spare set of tools in my car (you never know when youll need them) so i agreed to come to the rescue so when i got there their alternator is dead so we use my tools to remove their alt then we load up in my car and go get a new one for them then put the new one on. That fixed the problem so then it was back to my car and back on the road for the 9 hour trip back
Over all was a rather fun con and enjoyed it hopefully ill get to go again next year.
