Well, Yeah I beileve that whatever artist draw makes them happy too, but you
know how some people are. It's hard for an artist to make a sudden change
in there gallery/subject of art by rules that aren't there own. It's hard for
poeple to charge, some more then others. With Pokemon/Digimon, i don't
know, maybe most people don't see them as a "Furry" thing, but it
mostly is... it is. Honestly, I could care less either.

Yeah, there's a lot of the other ones Pokemon/Digimon too but they're fine though. I'm just saying, if your gonna do something like this, just be fair about it. For instance, you could draw a digimon in their rookie or baby form getting plowed to hell and back, but you couldn't do that with one of those "foal" ponies from MLP. The reason being some sort of thing about how the ponies act like they're human?? And the Digimon....I guess they're digital or something, because they don't have ages. Yet the ponies have feral forms, which was apparently cool to do "underage" to but the MLP ponies are more human than the Digimon babies sooo...

If someone in a position of authority is telling artists to delete large parts of galleries(or sometimes the whole thing) then this should be a site wide announcement about the risk that their art is being put to. You know....I first joined this site with aspirations of practicing the more "erotic" aspect of my writing while exploring a fetish of mine that I am shy of admitting to those I know in real life. As shown by my empty profile....I ended up simply "lurking" and enjoying the artwork of varied artists including the one who owns this journal.

Everyone on this site has at least one thing in common: A rather odd sexual interest in characters covered by fur/scales/feathers (If I have come to understand correctly.) With that said....it would be safe to assume that the members and staff members would be understanding of the "sexual interests" of everyone on this site....apparently not.

People come here to indulge in their fetish with other individuals who share their interest....to chat in an environment of other people who understand them more then others might while being free of the prejudice that some might give them for their "sexual interest." Sonic characters certainly meet the prerequisites to be considered "furries" and as such they have just as much of a place here as "My Little Pony" does.e

However, what makes me furious enough to reply is the very fact that a "moderator" would act with prejudice to something on this site when he/she themselves should understand the notion of having a fetish that some may not agree with. Trying to limit the content on this site almost defeats this sites purpose.

In summary: A fan of Sonic porn or not....it's all "furry" and every members interest should be respected equally.

They would tell you that if a mod decided something was unfit to post, it would damn well be made unfit to post unless the majority of other manager types disagreed. And they would, even in that case, probably have to fight about it for a few weeks.

The sad thing about all this is it spells the eventual doom of FA. Because if those things are true, then eventually the ONLY art that is going to be on FA is art the management personally likes. All other art will be banned deleted. And unless the many people who come here looking for art happen to be perfect clones of the management? ...Most of them are going to go elsewhere for their art, along with most of the artists who provide it.

While they are correct in saying that it is truly their choice in what is allowed to be posted. Discriminating in such a fashion defeats the reason for this site to be up and will only lead to people looking elsewhere for acceptance in their fetish (As you said above.)

The irritating fact here is they should be understanding of what they are doing here....with how badly fur fetishists are discriminated against online, you would think they would be more "sympathetic" in this case.

Yeah, it was from an admin. A buttload of artist got these notes and it pointed to the same mod. Also  tojyo got a ban for this already.

It's not an easy way out, it's the sensible decision. I can't force the powers that be to change their position and I'm not going to go through any sort of back and forth about whether on not a Sonic character I drew has long enough legs or big enough boobs. It's ridiculous and restraining. Unless somehow some way, the Admins decide otherwise. There's nothing that can be done about it.

I don't know why people have a problem with inkbunny. Many users were here when the cub stuff wasn't banned, and FA has zero filters to filter the stuff out. at least on inkbunny, you could filter (And some other fetishes at that) it so you'd never know it was there.

Yeah, I tried asking that. EVERY DAMN TIME. This is like the third time, and each one all I asked were a set of visual parameters. Some kind of precedent that everyone could use as a reference. I thought we had something like that back when the whole issue came up with Sciggles, and she had examples of what was acceptable and went back and forth on images linked by other artist along with Dragoneer.

But apparently, that never happened. You were in that discussion at the forums, I asked one more time and even submitted a body chart myself...Nothing. So, meh, I decided I was done.

My favourite joke is that 'the characters from MLP are okay because Faust cleared that the main cast were young adults', or 'if they have a cutie mark they're legal', and then you see plenty of non-cutie mark'd smut on here that doesn't even get touched. It's all about popularity - it has nothing to do with legality.

Not to mention the latest thing I saw on the discussion, the drugs discussion, was hilarious. Basically the admin stance on it is "It's okay to draw art or speak hypothetically about doing drugs, so long as there is no actual, real-life instances of drug abuse going on." In other words 'drawing art about one felony = okay ; drawing art about this other felony = BAN'd and ESPECIALLY if it's to do with Sonic art'. Classy.

After ten years? Sonic porn is pretty much a meme. Sure, there are a good amount of artists who still contribute and I myself still enjoy it, but the community is mostly looked on as a joke now.

You know, while I can agree with this statement, big companies (especially Dinsey, Amazon and Netflix) constantly make a mess of the characters they take. Star Wars sequels (I refuse to capitalize the s in sEQUELs), Phase 4 Marvel, rings of power, Cowboy Bebop.
I could go on and on... basically you can't just take a popular franchise and go 180' to the franchise without criticism without some Robin Williams/Christopher Lee brilliancy.
If however, you take the art with the intent of the content not to be cannon, then yeah, no one should restrict you for anything but the anatomy of the creatures you draw.
