[Help Requested] This is really important to me guys...

Firstly, just a quick update: Penny (from my previous journal) got her surgery, and is well and truly on the mend. You guys did an awesome job, thank you so much to everyone that donated! <3
Now I need your help with something else a little harder, but this is actually really, -really- important to me rather than just to a friend of mine.
See, many years ago before I even met him, a friend of mine suffered spinal injuries that have just been getting progressively worse. There's nothing he can do about it, Doctors won't help him because he doesn't have the money for it, and the longer it goes unchecked the worse it's going to get. Already he can't hold down a job because too much time standing or sitting gives him great pain. The last few jobs he's tried desperately to hold, working despite the pain, have only made it worse. So it's a catch 22. He's sold everything he has just to pay the bills. Literally... "I don't even have a bed anymore, or a proper pair of shoes"
BUT if we can get him to Australia, where there is better healthcare and doctors who will actually give a damn for his well-being rather than just his wallet, something might be able to be done about it. Even if it's just an improvement in his quality of life rather than an all out miracle recovery it's still better than what he's being offered now. Problem is... I can provide him with a stable home to live in, food to eat, and provide for his basic necessities once he's here. Hell, we can even work out the medical bills payments after he gets his treatment.... I just don't have the funds to get him to Australia myself. And that's why we need your help.
He's started an indiegogo donation pool... I know, I know, we jumped on the bandwagon, but what other choice do we have? The ONLY way we're going to do this is with the help of random strangers. Even working my butt off I have no money left over to save to get him here. But I can assure you that every dollar we get we will be might grateful for.
I'm OPEN for commissions as usual, and every dollar I get there will go to this campaign. Hell, if you donate and send me a copy of your receipt I'll make you anything you want. Even if you can't donate, if you spread the word around I'll put you in a raffle to win FREE art. Just getting the word out there to someone who CAN donate would be a HUGE help. Just put a link to your journal in the comments and I'll enter you into it. If you advertise on other sites just link me here for that too and I'll give you multiple entries. If I get enough entries I'll give away multiple piece of free art, how's that sound? That's how badly I need this to work.
Please guys, I know we can do this. You've proven to me numerous times that a worthy enough cause and everyone's all over it. This is my worthy cause, and I'm asking you for help with it.
