One of these days I'll hit Furfright. I'd honestly rather go there than AC.

AC makes more sense from a business perspective, but honestly I always have way more fun at furfright. But then again, I'm a small-con kind of person.

I suppose I'd get more exposure at AC, but cons are my vacations and I'd rather not spend the whole time talking business X3 Also, I'm a little intimidated by the sheer magnitude of AC/FC. Too many people in too small of a space for my liking. I've heard from a few people that Furfright is a blast thought! I can't say I've really had fun at a convention yet, so I guess I'm just hopeful :3

AC can be pretty intimidating. It's gotten so big people just break off into groups to hang out with their friends the whole time now, so meeting new people has gotten somewhat limited. Furfright is definately worth getting around to, though. With a few events you'll find nowhere else(Watching jaws- in the pool. End of story!), and a ton of awesome pizza places around so you never have to leave the comfort of the hotel if you don't want to, plus autumn = stay in fursuit the whole time? HOOOOKAYYY. Also it's pretty cheap and I always meet at least 3 new people while I'm there. A good time to be had by all.

I really wanted to go to Furfright this year but things got screwy here at home, and now I've got a wedding on the 29th and blah. I'll have to plan for next year though! How long is it usually, and about how much are rooms at the main hotel? I should budget!

$99 a night I think, probably less. The hotel across the street is like $69 and there's an even cheaper one 3 blocks down on the corner. MIDDLE OF NOWHERE BRINGS THE DEALS TO YOUUUUUUU

Its something like that, although its still waxed with a lipid based coating which SUCKS because the knots are SHIT(Ramsey voice). Guterman moved to a polyurethane coat so their knots hold better but their thread knots like shit because of their twining method so I'll be like 6" into a stitch and it will BECOME IRREVERSIBLE SNAGGED KNOT FROM HELL LOL NO YOU CANT FINISH THIS YOU HAVE TO SEAMRIP ME AND REDO IT >:3 MWAHAHAH lasjkldkfjaklsdjflaksj dfucking guterman.

I still prefer the old C+C upholstery which had a urethane coat on it. LIghter weight sure okay but the knots held like glue. I shoudl really buy them in bulk if I can find them on ebay.

I've been using C+C for a while now, because they just had a 50% off sale on threads at Joann and I picked up an assload. My normal thread though is this stuff here. It's really tough and I've never had issues with the knots either, and the price makes me pretty happy :3

I have been attending FF for years with Clover and myself. Now it will be myself and my son from now on. This will be his first FF (10 years old) I like FF better

I'm itching to hit up fur fright some year, but at the moment it conflicts with the local convention scene. I'm hoping that that will change some time soon but it won't be this year.

If my college wasn't occupying my freedom like a time vampire, I'd consider it since it's about an hour or two drive to get there. I've been unsure since I've enjoyed AC at every visit, but then again, that is the ONLY convention I've been to so far.

Wrong coast I'm afraid! But I hear seattle has great coffee and donuts XD It's in Connecticut(A great place to spend your fall, even if the coffee isn't much better than beer.. in fact, let's forego the coffee and get some beers instead XD)
