Opening for Shadowrun/Cyberpunk Commissions! [CLOSED]
General
Hi folks!
I was reading through my Street Magic book the other day and thoguht: hell yes! I wanna draw Shadowrun/Cyberpunk characters. =)
So I came up with this idea: I open for comissions and draw your RPG character! Good ol' table top RPGs are SO much fun. I need Reference, written and/or visual and please give me three songs that you associate with your character! I'll listen to these songs while drawing the character and try to catch the mood!
I LOVE to draw Cyberwear/Augmentations, btw, so throw them at me!
One character is 40€, two are 65€ - it's going to be a traditional mixed media colored commission on A4 paper. (21x29,7cm) - although I'll probably will do a bit collaged work on them and try new things in general. :)
There is also a Trade option! If you'd like to trade and draw my Shadowrun charakter in exchange for art, we might as well do that, but please be not upset, when I chose to work payed work, instead! But you might always offer a trade, here. :) If I do find the time, I'll surely come back to you.
Examples: NOTE: Those are just exampled of how I draw augmented characters, really. XD The actual commissions will probably look a bit different in style and use of medium etc.

I will most likely not take large commissions like that anytime, soon. There's much on my plate already, follow-up commissions from EF and inquiries that are pre-EF and I am still pondering how to manage all this. :) So there won't be any time for commissions this year/next year until autumn, I guess. I might open for DogTags / jewelry or sell original art, though.

Terms of Service:
If you commission me I consider you have read through all of these thoroughfully and agreed to my terms and conditions.
Agreed workflow:
I will start with a sketch, which I will show to you and upon your approval of the sketch, I charge the full price for the desired service. I will include three free-of-charge-changes to the sketch. One complete redo of pose etc included. All further changes come with an individual charge or cancellation of the agreement.
I will then stay in touch with you upon the completion process of the image. Please note, that it might take up to three months minimum for me to complete an image. I work a day job which has nothing to do with art and which always has to come first. As our business is rather unstable, I cannot really tell what every financial call will bring and what's going to change on a three-monthly basis. Thus, I might end up entangled in work for sixth month, that simply doesn't allow me to draw propperly.
I will take your understanding and patience as agreed upon commissioning me. I will, however, never fall silent and am always to be contacted via email or personal message on FA / DA (other platform). I will always answer inquiries and/or drop you messages when I can see the commission won't be completed anytime soon because of RL circumstances.
I might include a stream option, so you can always ask me to stream the process of your image. While I won't necessarily promise to be available when you have time to watch the stream (I work shifts, earlies, mids and nights, so my drawing hours vary wildely and have to be adjusted to my actual shift pattern. I cannot do anything about this and if I would bent to dates and time a second person is able to watch me draw, it would never happen ;p) I will always be willing to record my progress and put it online so you'll be able to watch it later on.
My livestream is: http://www.livestream.com/anightmar.....vision?t=25355
During the process I'll stay in touch with you, but please request Work-in-Progress-Shots of certain stages of the image, individually. I tend to have long times without any time to draw and then I'll produce art in a rush, one day or so. So if you need me to send you WIPs on which wish to comment before I continue working, this will make the whole process lengthy (add a couple of months) but I will gladly do that IF ASKED explicedly. It's not part of my usual workflow. After approaval of the sketch I'll most likely work my way through the image independendly and just present the result.
IF you happen to watch me streaming your image, you might as well give suggestions, but please be ware that I won't alter things about original pose and sketch/outlines etc. post-sketch-phase. Your input on the sketch is the most valuable and indeed only real input on general pose, anatomy etc I'll take into consideration while completing the commission. I won't change the position of limbs or alter anything major on the lineart during the coloring process for example as this would most certainly ruin the traditional image and give me a hard time to fix everything. I will not do that for free! If you feel something has slipped your attention before and has to be changed now, we might discuss about an additional fee to have me change this during ink/coloring stage, somehow.
Shipping:
Upon completion I will - if not stated otherwise - upload the image to my various galleries/blogs. This includes Furaffinity, probably Deviantart, my tumblr and others. As I mostly work in traditional media, an original image will be produced, a one-of-a-kind piece of art. If you want me to ship this to you, I gladly will, (shipping costs are usually not included in my prices) just provide me an address and I'll charge you the shipping fees, additional to the original price of the commission if not stated otherwise.
I am originally located in Ireland, yo this might give you an idea of shipping fees. Please don't take the shipping fees from YOUR country TO IReland as granted when considering shipping costs. I realized that for ecample it's much more expensive to send a package FROM IReland to Germany than vice versa. I will gladly look up the shipping fees for you, but this might as well take a while. I just moved here and am not fully aware of how the pricing works, here.
Customer Rights and general Copyright agreement:
The customer has - of course - the full rights on their design and character if I portrait one of their OCs. If I do fanart as a commission (which is rare enough) of course all rights are © the respective owner of the brand and/or franchise. As this is a grey area anyway, I tend to not accept copyrighted characters in commissions, but you might always ask me to do that. Worst thing that happens is I'll say no.
Upon commissioning me the customer gives me the right to upload and distribute the respective commission. This includes uploading the image to my galleries (with disclaimers), portfolios and blogs. (some oft them are Furaffinity, Deviantart, tumblr etc)
I additionally take the right to distribute a small amount(a maximum if 5) prints of the image that I'll probably sell or distribute otherwise on conventions etc. If the customer wishes, I'll sign the prints and add their name to it as disclaimer to state that the portrait character is originally theirs.
I might as well use the image or escerpts from it to create paraphernalia as buttons or bookmarks.
Sketches and concepts produced during the creation process of an image are usually considered my property and I might sell them on conventions etc. or be used as concepts for future commission if declined by this customer. Reason for this is that in the sketch phase, the character is most likely not to be distinguishable and thus, not clearly to be recognized as the commissioner's. I do not do that often, I just like to keep the right to do it if a concept or sketch I really like is declined, and would go to waste otherwise. I tend to finish the sketch by adding details that are clearly NOT the commissioner's character and then put them up for grabs.
If the customer does not wish me to reproduce or distribute the created image and/or sketches produced in the process in anyway, this is perfectly fine and possible upon paying an additional fee of 10€ - I will then agree to keep the image a complete secret, if needed, which means, no distribution, no uploading on any sites, no mentioning of the customer's name and no siplaying the image anywhere. Exceptions may be discussed individually (as in: you like me to upload the image somewhere but not to print it ever, etc.)
Deadline Secrecy: I do not charge any extra fee for temporary secrecy, as in: "I want to commission this for my mate's birthday, so would you please only upload it at this date?" - this is perfectly fine and no additional fee is requried for agreements as this, although I encourage you to state them clearly and repeatedly to remember me about them, so I do not forget.
Publishing rights: you are allowed to publish and/or distribute the image in question, but please keep in mind that I always need to be mentioned as the artist creating it in the first place. Even though the character is yours, you need to include my name and preferably a link to my gallery no matter where you publish the thing, be it printed or on the internet.
Deadlines:
I do accept deadlines if agreed in advance of starting the work/accepting the commission. This is perfectly fine, costs no additional fee and will be taken seriously on my side. I am, however, in my current situation, most likely to decline deadlined work as I do not feel I can keep up with deadlines atm.
What I will totally NOT do is accepting deadlines along the way. If I started working on a picture and the customer decides that I take too much time with it and tries to press on me, the agreement is most likely to be ended from my side, a refund will take place and all art work produced up so far will be my property and I'll handle it however I feel fit which includes re-distribution, production, display, use of sketches, etc.
I will also not be held responsible for not being able to keep deadlines due to RL situation and day job interference. so IF we agreed on a deadline, be sure I will feel horrible, but you have been warned, life happens to me, every now and then and I will have to answer it's call prior to the art working thing. I will not be held responsible for what happens, then financially, e.g. if you planned to publish the image somehow or whatnot.
Refunds:
I might offer refunds on special occasions when I take extremely long for your commission and haven't started yet and you feel you do not want it anymore. In this case all work already done on the topic as concepts and sketches is my own property then and I will deal with it as I see fit and described above.
I will not offer refunds when you just decide you do not like the completed image anymore and want your money back. As there are several stages during the processing of the image you may have a word with me regarding it's future outcome and progress, I will not be held responsible when you miss them all and don't like what I did in the end.
That's all for now, might be subject of change.
While all this might sound harsh, you are most welcome to talk to my previous customers who have been happy with my work and how I handle things, most of the time.
