Superhero/Supervillain Story and Art contest
So I’ve decided to create this here contest for Furaffinity users only.
Now this will be a superhero/supervillain themed contest, where the goal is to draw artwork or write stories of my superhero and/or supervillain characters.
The contest will be split into two different sections.
- Artwork only, which is only for those that want to draw for the contest
- Story only, which is only for those that want to write for the contest
Rules for the Artwork only contest:
- You can draw any of the characters listed in this journal, there profiles and reference pictures will be provided.
- You are free to draw your characters interacting with my characters
- The main theme for all artworks must be Superhero/supervillain themed, but you can also have other secondary themes added in as well.
- Artwork entries are limited to two pieces per person. Collages and multiple character pieces count as one art piece.
- If you join the artwork only contest, then you can’t join the story contest.
- Any type of art style is accepted for this contest.
Rules for the story only contest:
- You can write a story for any of the characters listed in this journal, there profiles and reference pictures will be provided.
- You are free to write your characters into stories and have them interacting with my characters or just cameo in the story.
- The main theme for all stories must be Superhero/supervillain themed, but you can also have other secondary themes added in as well.
- Story entries must have a minimum of 8 to 10 pages, which is the general length of a short story, and are limited to two stories per person. (There is no maximum limit for stories)
- If you join the story only contest, who will not be able to join the artwork contest.
- You may write in first or third person.
This contest is open for artwork and stories of General, Mature and Adult ratings.
The following themes you CANNOT draw or write for the contest:
- Scat/watersports (Nuff said)
- Guro/Extreme gore
- Scenes involving the death of my characters
- Dismemberment/beheading
- Extreme items like hyper inflation,
All other themes are available to be drawn or written for the contest. If you have a theme that you wish to draw or write and you’re not sure, feel free to note me.
Please try to keep all story and art within the Colmation/BOS Universe which belongs to
train and 
mojorover . If you are placing a character that belongs to you in your submission it must meet the requirements of the Colmation/BOS Universe.

How to enter:
To enter the contest you must do the following:
- Create a Journal pimping this contest and linking back to this journal
- Post on this journal with the link to your contest pimping journal as well as stating if you are entering the artwork or story contest.
- Send a note to me, with your idea for your contest entry, if you wish to keep the idea as a surprise, just simple note me and let me know.
All who enter the contest will receive $15 or a steam game of their choice under $15. Make sure to include in your note if you like the $15 or the steam game, if you do want the steam game, make sure to provide your steam account name and the game that you would like.
Note I will not be paying or gifting games until you have submitted your contest artwork or story entry. This is to make sure that people are committed to the contest and don’t try and run off with free money or games.
Prizes:
The contests with have two different categories for the winners.
- Best Artwork (The best quality work or best portrayal of my characters in artwork.)
- Most creative Artwork (Best creative idea involving my characters in artwork.)
- Best Story (The best quality work or best portrayal of my characters in a story.)
- Most Create Story (Best creative idea involving my characters in a story.)
The winners of the contest will receive the following:
For first place will get to choose one of the following:
- $100 Cash Prize
- $100 worth of games and/or software from steam
- $100 worth of artwork, which will be paid by me from an artist of your choosing
Second Place will get to choose one of the following:
- $75 Cash Prize
- $75 worth of games and/or software from steam
- $75 worth of artwork, which will be paid by me from an artist of your choosing
Third Place will get to choose one of the following:
- $50 Cash Prize
- $50 worth of games and/or software from steam
- $50 worth of artwork, which will be paid by me from an artist of your choosing
THE CONTEST WILL BE RUNNING BETWEEN NOW AND THE 21ST OF DECEMBER OF THIS YEAR, SUBMISSIONS MUST BE IN BEFORE JANUARY 20TH 2013. THEN THE WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON JANUARY 26TH 2013

I'll have to get back to you on my idea, however.. Hmm...
The reasoning behind this is attempting to look through the list yields to confusion as to whom is a hero and whom is a vision, at a cursory glance.
I updated the contest journal and created a submission with all the characters that you can use for the contest.
The profiles and References are now separated for each character, which should be easier to understand and read now

Being a writer, I'll naturally be persuing the written course of action.
For noting you, I'll be doing that in due course. If it's alright, I would like to take some time to review the profiles and so forth (which I am actually in the process of myself for my primary character), and digest it, in order to find one whom might work best interacting with him, along with creating a tale in mind which fits your request, but also adds in my own quirkiness that I'm fond of doing.

Though, I'm gonna some time to come up with a good idea. So when I think of one, I shall note you, straight away.

To note further...
...if I did have time for another story, I need to mention this since I believe it would be relevant.
In order for me to 'nail your character' perfectly, I would need to know far more about your characters than the information you have provided. You see, precise information and actual completed stories by you are what makes your heroes and villains unique to your universe. Without this information, you are sure to see a lot of stories involving your characters doing things you would never have them do and acting in ways you would never have them act, all without some sort of logical reason. I've been writing since 1979 and I have seen a lot of both 'wow' good and 'omfgwthit' bad stories involving heroes, villains, support characters, possible fans/fanatics, and innocent bystanders. I only hope the stories you end up reading are winners. There are admittedly a lot of good writers out there, but sadly, most of them would never enter this contest. And those who did... would not care about the prizes. Those who think the prizes are a motivator... well... have fun reading the results. I want to hear how this goes, so please keep the hero furs group informed so we can all have a good laugh.
