i too have spoken to this kind fur. its very sad to see some one at his and my age go to soon. i am 44 and with diabetes. i do my best to take care of myself. i have a family history that has it. so its with heavy heart to find this out about pandaguy. from me to pandaguys family and friends, my warmest wishes and deepest sympathies for your loss. the panda was a very kind fur to all. he will be missed but not forgotten.

I didn't know him too well, but I spoke to him every now and then on Skype and IRC. He always referred to me as the pineapple tiger. This is really a great loss for as far as I know, he's a really sweet guy.

I had the privilege of having PandaGuy as a roommate during FCN for a couple of years. Even with all of the health problems he was facing, he never lost his fun-loving nature. It's people like him that helped make convention-going fun for me.

I just can't believe he's gone.

Whoa! I also knew him pretty well. This is a shock. Last time I spoke with him was at MFM in 2007. He was the guest of honor. Though, not a really close friend, he was a friend. Don't know what else to say.

That is very unfortunate....

Wish I had known him. He seems like a nice guy. I just now heard of him and wish I knew who he was sooner. May he rest in peace.

And I guess I should try to take better care of myself as well as my diet hasn't been that great.

Oh no! I am very sorry to hear about that :( I didn't know him very well, but he was one of the very first fursuiters that I talked to when I first joined the fandom many many years ago. He will be missed by everyone who knew him :(

*hugs ya tight* He was a good friend to all who knew him and to the fandom. I only with I could have made the parade or the picnics one year. I kept putting it off when I lived in NC. Then it stopped not long after I moved to the midwest. I always remember just chatting with him at the meets we ran into each other at. Being a fellow IT guy, we had a few things in common there, but sadly his health kept getting worse and worse. I last spoke with him a couple of months after my move to Australia. Was just telling him how awesome it would be to have him visit as the beaches are lovely here. He always was a good listener and loved to chat. His influence on the fandom and others will be missed.

I am saddened to learn that PandaGuy is no longer with us. I knew him from IRC, and met him at AC'01, where he was handing out business-card CD-ROMs, "All About the Panda Guy". His life touched many others, and his loss will be felt far and wide. I will miss you, Jon.
