It has its pros and cons like any other game. I wish Nexon was less crap with support!

It isn't working on my computer, lol. I get a warning it isn't compatible with my version of Windows, but I think it's because I downloaded it through Steam.

Oh it always says that. I just press Run anyway and it goes. I use it through Steam too.

I'll take all the other crits but 2D is one of the things that's a PRO for me.

You can play it if you have a huge backlog of radio documentaries to listen to. That's the only way how you get knowledgeable from this grindfest of a game ;P

When was the last time you played it? It was a grindfest back before the Big Bang but now you can get to level 50 in a couple days.

Still sounds boring. Guild Wars 2 is better. :>

The last time I played it must have been in 2008/09. I think I was in my 40s as a Cleric, on a quest for some black wizard hat thing, slaughtering countless of those undead monkeys for voodoo dolls or something. Then my power unit died and I stopped playing Maplestory altogether. I can't even get myself to play The Kingdom of Loathing long enough to pass a lifecycle these days.

Yeah sounds like it was before BB. Not saying you'd like it anymore now but the reason I quit while playing back in 2007 was because leveling up was indeed a grindfest.

I used to play in Bera years ago, but reactivating my account is somewhat of a problem since I registered with an e-mail that no longer exists.

I think I tried Maple Story once when I was like, pretty young. I don't remember if I liked it or not though. I might give it a shot, it will give me something to do when I get bored of GW2.

Last time I tried playing maple story, I felt you leveled too fast. I actually enjoy the quests and the story that comes with them, but you outgrow quests before you can even finish a small percentage of them D:

I played it when I was super young also and there were so many hackers EVERYWHERE it made it pretty much impossible to play. I think I got to level 20 when I just gave up. :/
Good to hear the games gotten better atleast.

never played it before but I hear horror stories about the grinding in the upper levels... though I've played phantasy star online and shin megami tensei online, but not sure how that compares

in any case, I'm still unsure about playing it, might someday, but I usually only play one mmorpg at a time, and my current one is dungeon fighter

my archer i made before they fixed the omega grind and i couldnt get him past level 14, maybe joining a cool guild of cool people will get me playing again, i dunno i might poke on just to help you guyses build your guild roster then tumble off to finesh all these fursuits.

I used to play and enjoy maple story a bit, started when it was in beta, but I haven't played for like 3 years, it kind of feels like with all the changes it would be a lot to catch up on...
but maybe it would be fun to make a new character and play through Windia or something!

J/K. Not my place to judge. I'd drop in again to say hi and see how many more times more damage they've allowed players to buy their way into but my level 15x Paladin is in Khaini.
Don't get me wrong; it's a terrible game and boring and grind-heavy as all heck but they REALLY did something right with the social aspects and customization. That facial expression system and the control players have over their characters really makes it feel alive and adds a lot to player interaction. Really well done. I just can't stand the pointless feel of the grind and the simple combat. I couldn't stand it probably 3000 hours of gameplay ago, but damn if it's not incredibly addictive.

In Bera, and and a forgotten account on Bellocan. Haven't played in months though. I always make new accounts, so at that random Maplestory urge, I'll Windia. But I usually play for 1-3 months then vanish. I'm terrible. <.>
But they keep adding things so it feels like a new game every time I drop in.
