PandaGuy's Funeral
It was the hardest roadtrip I have ever taken. Driving up 7 hours to pay my last respects to a man who I though would live forever wasn't easy. I drove up Sunday morning and met up with Timber and Seaweed at a nice little motel. We settled down, waited for Ocicat and Wildfox to arrive, As soon as they got settled, we headed over to the Ponderosa where everyone stuffed themselves silly and tried to waddle back across five lanes of traffic. Monday morning we got up, packed out stuff, and got dressed in our best clothes. I guess this is PG's way of getting back at Timber for having to dress up for his and Seaweed's wedding. Upon arriving, we found the viewing being held in the first room. We entered, hearing music and seeing a video being played that has a mix of different pictures from cons and events, good memories. Seeing PG laying there at peace, it just didn't seem real. He did look like he was just asleep, almost ready to stir awake. I had the hardest time keeping from crying. I finally got to meet Fran, PG's mother, and we spoke a bit and I asked if I could take some pictures. She allowed it so I snapped a few tasteful pictures of the viewing and his burial plot later on. As the viewing was being wrapped up, and before they closed the casket, the funeral director asked Fran is she'd like to see him one last time. Everyone left the room, but Fran asked Timber and I to stay with her. It was an honor to be with the woman who gave life to the man we all know, love, and will deeply miss, as she kissed PG one last time. PandaGuy was like a big brother to both Timber and I, and I will miss the ribbing I got from him, especially about being a "Bronie in Denial" (my new fursuit will have a cutie mark of a wrench, and I deem it as such in honor of PG). It was also a fitting tribute that all the pallbearers were close furs to PG. For those close friends who want to see the pictures I took, just note me. For those who wish to visit PG's grave, It's in Ethridge, TN about 20 miles west of I-65 across from the Ethridge Elementary School (35.323853,-87.295616)

I'm happy to hear many people were there. I'm too far away.
