Well it was in philadelphia for a while till what two or three years ago. Heheh.

Well, I myself only lived there for one summer. I lived right next to a mall, and all around were shopping strips, restaurants, arcades, a wal-mart, everything. I put in applications at over 100 stores, and within the three months I lived there only got about 5 interviews, and they all told me I didn't have the experience they were looking for. 4 of the 5 were in the mall, what experience do you need to work in a mall? The other was one of the four pet stores, which I can understand having some sort of experience besides volunteering at an animal shelter quite a few years ago.

I don't drive, and took a bus to college, so I didn't have to deal with traffic much, and I lived almost in one of the suburbs, I still had a Pittsburgh mail address, but a few of the apartments down the street had Oakdale addresses. Didn't have to go through town to get to PTI, but still took almost an hour, for what was ten minutes in no traffic.

And I don't know anything about flying, but I don't see why there would be a problem getting a ticket from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh, that airport is quite a big one, and international and all, I'm sure you can get a ticket from anywhere to Pitts. No, fursuits are not required at all. Just something for extra fun and joining the fursuit parades and such...I was hoping to go myself this year, and have my first fursuit...but I got pregnant. xP

It was a pleasure to have met you at RMFC, and I must say scanners don't do much justice. When I saw your work up close it seems to have this glow that technology can't quite capture.

Agreed. Smaller, localized events are good ways to get started in the fandom, and keep your batteries charged after the bigger events.

holy cow it was a trip eating at cheesecake factory with ya and LV . i just didnt think i would ever get that chance , and yeah a small con such as that will grow to be the size of FC some year . enjoy the small amount while you still can LOL

To think I passed up the chance to go to the Denver con.. I live in Colorado Springs! buut I am going to be moving to California sometime very soon, and was worried that I would have spent too much money.
