From Mountains to Pitts
Rocky Mountain FurCon was a blast! It was a pleasure to have a convention in my home town and drag people to my local haunts. Denver is an exceptional city to hold a convention, for a lot of reasons, and I really want to see this one continue to grow and do well. I know I will be back next year. :]
I had no idea how many local furs there were in Colorado! It was great to put faces to names and meet a bunch of new people, plus see some old friends who made the journey up. I love the smaller conventions because they're a little more social for me and I can get to know people and run the occasional panel.
The convention staff were great, people were friendly (especially the Metts fans), the kid was amusing, the hotel was amazing--the Conoco elevator was my favorite--, the hotel staff were helpful and nice and the upstairs bar had a breath-taking view.
RMFC was the perfect way to relax a bit, enjoy a convention, savor a short sabbatical from art and take a deep breath before getting my paws dirty again.
AnthroCon is right around the corner and come June, it's off to Pittsburgh and the debut of Dog's Days of Summer. It's going to be a busy season, to say the least!
Cheers,

Maybe next year. :o
I don't drive, and took a bus to college, so I didn't have to deal with traffic much, and I lived almost in one of the suburbs, I still had a Pittsburgh mail address, but a few of the apartments down the street had Oakdale addresses. Didn't have to go through town to get to PTI, but still took almost an hour, for what was ten minutes in no traffic.
And I don't know anything about flying, but I don't see why there would be a problem getting a ticket from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh, that airport is quite a big one, and international and all, I'm sure you can get a ticket from anywhere to Pitts. No, fursuits are not required at all. Just something for extra fun and joining the fursuit parades and such...I was hoping to go myself this year, and have my first fursuit...but I got pregnant. xP
Can't wait to stop by your stand at AC, and maybe catch you at the zoo afterhours.
As a totally random question...have you seen the UK series "Black Books"?
