About "reposting" my pictures
Well, what do I have to say...
Hey everyone.
This is a little topic I had in my mind a while ago but just never got around to it, but now might as well do it.
This does kinda coincide with my views on copyrighting as well.
There often is the issue of "art thieves" who repost images without your consent.
How everyone deals with this differs from person to person of course but here are my personal views that only apply to MY works.
I see myself as owning copyright of my images, I created them so I can say what to do with them.
And I say, feel free to share.
I actually don't mind my art being reposted on other sites, hell it's both a compliment and can potentially bring people to my page here which can also mean more commissions coming my way.
HOWEVER, there is something I'd ask of anyone who wants to do this, do not claim it as your work and actually give the source, be it a direct link to the image or a link to my profile page or even just saying "made by Daniel Kay".
Also out of courtesy, asking me in advance would be nice but is not a requirement as long as you still give some credit.
I don't think that is a lot to ask of people and quite reasonable.
And to extend a bit further even, I don't even mind if some people mod or "copy" my images be it for them personally or if they want to share it. Though if you want to upload a modded or copied pic I originally did I'd REALLY beg you to ask me in advance.
I personally especially have some understanding for people who copy for practice reasons as long as you make it clear what you did. If you see my gallery as worthy of using for practice then feel free to use it, show it and explain what you did and why, that actually is a way to get better.
Oh and I do NOT hold a copyright on poses so there is no need to ask me if you want to copy a pose I drew
Also I put my stamp on my pictures so it's clear I drew it so please don't mod that out since it makes it pretty obvious you're trying to steal credit (having it covered up or snipped being unavoidable at times though, that is why I'm asking you to ask me for consent first).
The only real restriction there is either commissioned pictures or ones containing characters of other people since I do not, at least in my book, own those, commissioned works belong to the person who bought/ordered it and characters to their owners.
Anyway that's my 2 cents on reposting of my images, I hope this is informative to everyone ^..^
PS: Also some concepts like the "Tough Herms Gym", my "Cursed Bottles" series or the style of Toon Cows I draw are all open to free use, I don't hold them restricted to myself so anyone can feel free to use those should they feel like it.
And if you have questions about it, you know where to find my inbox

Kinda feel sad I dont have a pic of you to repost but if I ever will I make sure I do everything you want
Natürlich, wie du das dann selbst handhabst bleibt ganz dir überlassen. ^^
If the DK logo position is covered up... there always the option to relocated that logo to somewhere else. By sketch b/w its super easy to move it to a free spot and by colored stuff... always a option to make a simple waterprint on it. You could offer in scraps a example for that logo so people could copy in past it over to the new spot....
NOW if people just where not lazy and actaul would do so heh...
At last you know what I do *licks*

I must say, I am most positively surprised here. This actually has to make me ask: IF I were to ever want to do something new.... like try to re-draw someone else's picture... in order to figure out what the person used to create it (done it before, taught me a lot of things as an artist and a computer graphics expert (in training))... this journal basically means I'd be permitted to use your art for it? Credited, link to the original and everything etc etc. This would really be an interesting experience seeing how you have a most peculiar art style!
So can I?! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
