C(o__o)D Let the monkey business begin...
Alrighty then primates and primate lovers! It's been a while since there's been any real activity here. Let's chalk it up to time spent gathering our new members and admirers, aye?
It's time to get the ball rolling for our first contest.
Here's what you will be doing for this. Create our group's mascot. He can be any species of primate, so don't think you have to stick with drawing a monkey.
This is not a contest based on skill. Please remember that. All you need to do is be creative and come up with a design for it. Now, I know that some of our members do not draw at all. To be fair, you can commission other artists to draw the picture for you. Hence why I said it's not a contest of skill. If you commission an amazing artist for a generic design of your run of the mill monkey, you're not very likely to win. We'll put the designs to a vote.
THE RULES (simple breakdown for easy reference)
1] Your submission can be in any medium.
2] This is not a contest based on skill, but please do not be lazy and submit some half-assed sketch doodle and expect to win. Put some effort into your work as this will be the mascot everyone will see when they come to the page.
3] Your submission can be any species of primate.
4] The deadline is December 31
5] We'll put all of the submissions together into one massive piece and everyone will look at all of the designs and submit the number of the one they like the best. Yes, you may vote for yourself.
6] IF YOU WANT TO ENTER, SAY SO ON THIS JOURNAL PLEASE.
***THE SPOILS OF VICTORY***
The winner of this contest will have their winning submission be the featured piece on the front page of our group for a month. (After that we'll be taking submissions of our mascot from members to rotate them out every month)
To sweeten the pot I,
will draw your winning design in a single character fully colored piece (don't worry it can be either clean or adult as well).
I'll add more prizes for runners up depending on how many entrants we get for this.

but I'm mostly curious to see the other ideas !
