HOLYYYYYY ... I have to say this, the con was one of the most chaotic I have ever experienced, and to anyone who got stuck there because of the Hurricane, I pray you all are ok! Seriously, so many people were left with canceled flights and nowhere to turn, but the great thing about this fandom is that we all stick together to help eachother out. That is something the world is missing a lot of and I am greatful to have the friends I do.

So...

Furfright was definitely different this year, when I arrived I met up with at the airport. We got a cab ride to the hotel which seemed like forever, and we finally hit the hotel up where we met and along with our other roomate who later came in, mister . Once we all settled into the room, the weekend started with of course.. Dancing... that's all we ever wanna do lol. We danced in the reg line as we waited, though I had pre-regged, some of the guys didn't, so the next day we waited in line for them. :) I loved it, we were such doofs!

Most the rest of that day was a blur, I think it was Friday into Saturday that went so fast I hardly remember everything. I believe Friday night I decided that I'd go and Karaoke in Kendi, though I waited there forever and missed most of the Dance. I kind of regret that but o well lol, had fun doing that! Let me tell you though, it is TOUGH to sing in a fursuit, you have limited air and can't really hear your cues in the music, but I did my best to entertain. Found it amusing that everyone thought I was drunk when I never drink, but that's the beauty of who I am I guess hahaha! XD

Then Saturday  JDpuppy and myself had the Thriller panel to run in the evening. The turnout was amazing, I had brought badges for everyone who attended to get for their show up, and so far out of 40 badges we had 26 people attend the panels. This year JD and myself were more prepared then last year, though when we told everyone the dance would be after the masquerade, we didn't expect that to change to after the Dance Comp as we had originally intended. There was a bit of a mix up on that part, but next year we will have it ALL squared away and truly official as to when the performance will take place. To those of you who came to perform on stage and who performed in crowd, amazing job to everyone, you all did so GREAT! The video is up of this years Thriller, so if you wanna check it out below:

Only thing I need to ask for next year is bigger space to dance it and less lights in your face, I was totally blind this whole performance and I am sure the zombies behind me couldn't see much either lol



So Saturday was hanging with friends, being goofy, dancing, panels, and more panels... and dancing, and just running around the convention floor space. Had so much fun meeting and hanging with Strobes, Nexxus, Nightstar and her friend, then met up with Seyloren for a bit and dragged him to my room. I hung with Dex and Fawx for a bit, omg I love those two so much! Hung out with JD Puppy and Grey and we went to go eat at the diner, I swear JD just inhaled his burger but I guess it was good XD I also got to spend some time with  camohusky who I adore! Got to see Clementine and Rashia and hang with them in their room and totally spaz out XD lol, then met Tummah a few times... that boy loves to hug! Got to say hello to Mozee and his crazy skills Said hello to :D So many people were met and talked to, I am trying to remember everything and everyone! The con went so fast and was cut so short it sucked bum :( Didn't get to have my rest day Sunday to hang with people. I do want to thank all the roomies I was with for being AMAZING roomies, really had so much fun with that setup! :D Dancerfur room was totally swagging the entire weekend hahaha! I met more people along the way, shout if I forgot you! D:

Then... Saturday night.... ALL HELL BROKE LOOSEEEEE!!! D:... least for me anyways...

I am sure everyone heard about the Fire alarm that went off and evacuated all of us out into the streets in the cold for 2 hours in the early morning of Sunday right? XD Well, I was just about to pass out in bed, Dex was in the room dancing with Remix, and Ikato and Atsu were in bed being silly canines. All of a sudden as Sadie goes into the shower, the fire alarm goes off.

Well naturally I'm thinking... nah this is just someone pranking, it will turn off soon. No, it kept ringing and ringing. Dex and I looked out the room down the hall and the doors shut in the hallway indicating a fire perhaps. Dex looked up at the wall and there was moisture.. not sure why, but it was wet. So.. I got my priorities straight and grabbed my suitcase, threw kwik and kendi in it, grabbed my speaker backpack and my wallet and phone.. and told everyone we had to get out NOW!.. I banged on the bathroom door and told Sadie to get out or he will end up dying in a shower LOL.. XD So then I took off down the hall and hoped everyone followed, a lady in uniform was yelling at us to go go go.... in my mind I'm like... great, someone finally took the term.. "kill them with fire" literally. >.> We all ended up outside in the cold, and moved to a safer area.

Of course everyone was wondering wtf was going on, and some people were giggling at the fact I brought both my suits with me. I'm like.. I ain't letting this suckers burn D: D: D: So as we were all outside chilling, the  dancerfurs decided this was a good time to make a dance circle and lighten the mood a bit.. (also to get some heat going since it was COLD as fuck out there). Atsu and them all got the circle going, I wanted to join in but had no one to watch my stuff. Then... as I am standing there.. I hear someone faintly say.."um you might wana move your suitcase"... as I look to see who was talking to me, there was a girl puking all on the floor near me. .... GGGGUHHH!!!! D: D: D:

Quickly I grab my luggage and roll it away, but not in enough time, her puke splattered on the bottom of my luggage. I get a few yards from her and notice she is just going and going and going..... >.> Great... fire, cold, then puke. FUN! D: But as always, I try to stay positive in these situations. Though.. I would like to thank that random girl.. whoever you are, for being that drunk to share your puke with everyone and for sharing it with my luggage. >.>

Finally after 2 hours outside, we were let back into the building. Turns out someone set off a fire extinguisher in the stairwell. My theory is, someone was smoking it up or something dumb and accidentally started a fire, to which they panicked and grabbed an extinguisher to try and take it out, but then that added to the smoke, which triggered the fire alarms. Then FIREFRIGHT was born D:

So back into the building, and everyone passed out. THEN... Sunday came. Got up, was going to have fun suiting it up the entire day and enjoy myself since most the con was just panels and judging and no real time to relax and suit up around the con. Chill with friends etc. So met up with Atsu, Ikato, Fawx, Remix, and Dex and we all went to Ruby Tuesdays to get some grub first. As we were sitting there, we noticed the weather was getting a bit rough. I also noticed more people leaving that morning then usual, so I became concerned. Though.. my flight wasn't until Monday morning before Sandy hit.. so figured I'd be out of there before then, and so would many others.

Nope...

Checked my email and it turned out my flight was canceled. FUCK ME!! D: I wasn't the only one too, Atsu had his canceled and so did Strobes and Trent and a few others. All I could think was... not again. This happened before on my trip from Pittsburgh to Texas and I got stranded in Houston for a week. So I'm panicking in my head... what do I do? I can't stay there without anyone....how am I getting home. Seemed everyone had this concern cause going back to the hotel, seemed like panic everywhere. Luckily my hero said Atsu, Ikato, and  nbowa would be riding with him to Pittsburgh and that if I wanted, I could go. THANK GODDDDDD!!!! So I said yes, lets get out, we have to get out now. Which was Sunday evening... so we hit the road.

As much as I wanted to stay and enjoy that last day, it was important to get out and get out fast. While I felt robbed of my convention experience, the roadtrip was a great time to catch up with friends I would have never had the chance to REALLY know at a con. LOL... that car trip was.. something else.

Me being me, introduced the language of "ErhMerGerd" to the guys.. and they just ran with it. I think Atsu has the footage so when he gets his Furfright video up, I am frightened to see what he had recorded lol. Had never laughed so hard in awhile to where tears were rolling down my face. Thanks guys for that experience, it was the best!

A great guy named let me and Nbowa stay with him, I can't thank this sweet guy enough for doing that. Seriously, life saver right there. All of my friends who hung with me during this time were so amazing, so much gratitude you guys.. so much <3

Finally went to Pittsburgh where my flight was delayed again, but then got my flight back home in time for Halloween.

Long story short... I did survive Furfright....

Now that I have made a novel of a journal, I'd like to congratulate the winners of the Furfright Dance Competition this year. This was my first time judging and it was SO HARD to talk about the dancers because I didn't want to offend anyone, they all were so great!

Whew... so yeh, give a shout out if I forgot anyone, and if I did, I am sorry cause this journal seriously was a rush job. I'm tired and still recovering from my long trip back home.
