First and foremost, GET SAMPLES OF YOUR FUR. All the websites have photos, but they are rarely accurate to the color of the fur in person, and dye lots can change slightly between runs, so the photo they have may not be accurate to their current stock either.

This is more for your later list, but www.avesstudio.com has a special discount page (you probably know this) that has various items including Apoxie Sculpt in discontinued/changed colors, which is nice if you don't mind painting them to the color you need. I bought a pound of magenta for $9! BUT you have to either have purchased before or buy another non-discounted item with it. You also will probably have to call in the order... I didn't mind though since even though I'm in the same state I didn't have to pay sales tax on it because I called!

I didn't know that, but I get mine from RMI-Online when I get taxi forms. 4# buckets last FOREVER.

I took a look, and they're $25. For $10, I'd rather avoid the potential of scratched paint and save the time involved painting.

I agree with the scratched paint/longer time thing, but then there are people who can afford the time and not the money (like me) so the deal isn't all bad.

This is already quite an old journal, but I would like to ask if CR's Craft accepts paypal as a method of payment? Atleast there is nothing about it mentioned on their web page. They have the furs I am interested in but purchasing would become complicated if paypal is not an option.

In that case I may have to order from Mendel's. Even when they are little more expensive. I was looking for the similiar Teddy Bear fur as you mentioned before in comments regarding Foster fullsuit. (http://www.crscraft.com/products/vP.....ub=Fabrics&;class=&searchOffset=x).
It seems that Mendel's is selling only Gray Frost, but they have similiar looking Cubby Bear fur when compared with CR's Craft's Teddy Bear but it is little shorter.

The teddy and cubby furs they carry at Mendels are the very same furs CR's Crafts carries (although dye lots and/or runs may vary between the two depending on how old their stock is). Mendels has fantastic customer service though, and often has coupon codes around holidays, so they're often worth the extra couple bucks.

I agree with that. I purchased from Mendel's last time and the service was quick.
I think I will order from Mendel's again. CR's Crafts' method of payment would be too complicated as I do not live in US.

http://thefabricexchange.com/ is pretty good for finding quality fur in bright or other hard-to-find colors. They also send out samples.

Thanks big time for the tip to "Mohair Bear Making Supplies". They indeed got alot of furs! Any experience with them? Are their furs good? And whats about their service? :3

I have used some of their furs, they're great! They're very expensive when you're in the US, because shipping's pretty high, but that's not their fault and shouldn't be a mark against them if they have what you need and no one else does. I've never had a problem with an order (several sample orders and one or two fur purchases), so I can't say one way or another how their service was other than they didn't have any errors.
