Okay, okay, some of you thought my maybe routine was a little cruel. :) So here you go, a few things actually about the story of OOP3. No spoilers, though.
* It begins on Thanksgiving Day and ends on New Year's Day, 2008. Those of you who know football schedules will know that this means it encompasses pretty much the end of the regular season, no playoffs.
* The following characters are at least mentioned at some point (not necessarily by name), which does not preclude nor promise an actual appearance: Hal, Brian, Caroll, Ogleby, Charm, Dev's brother, Lee's mother, the Firebirds owner, Argonne.
* Two of the most impactful "new" characters have actually already been mentioned in previous OOP canon.
* It is the Forester Universe, and there may be references to other Forester Universe books and stories, if you keep your eyes open.
* There may also be references to other furry sports, if you keep your eyes open.
* The book does not really end on a cliffhanger, but it does leave several storylines open-ended. That is because book 4 is already written. Job 1 of 2013 is to start editing that for publication.
* The cover will be done after MFF. We may yet do a Livestream.
* I will post a teaser from the beginning of the book--maybe the one I read at Oklacon, maybe not--sometime after MFF. If I have my act together, it will be before I leave for MidFur. If not, it will be when I get back. :)
(Oh yeah, I read a bit of OOP3 for about a dozen people at OklaCon. When cons invite me to be a GOH, I like to do special stuff like that for them. And yes, that does mean that POTENTIALLY the first place I MIGHT read some of OOP4 would be at Confuzzled... you know, if you were on the fence about going...)

As to the second one, I'm putting my money on being another Waterways character (Kory or Samaki are probably out beyond a Cameo because they'd probably show up Dev and Lee. Unless they broke up and it's just one of them -- the priest is a reasonably good bet though) OR Concoran.
but if this book has more about Lee's mom trying to do something against Lee and Dev's relationship, pretty sure Kory's has something to do with that.
though i would really love to read about Kory again.

i read the book so long ago that i can barelly remember most of the names on it D:
hope that one of the "new" characters is the guy who wanted to double-date with Dev and Lee. how was his name? i remember something like Saito or Saeto but i'm not sure :/
i need to read the book again :3
he is one of those "fans" that follow the team around and hope that one of them will agree for a "quickie" with him, and a member of "dev's divas"

Well, that means I know what I'll be doing for chunks of the timetable - not that there was any doubt in the matter but, you know, just saying...
So it looks as though SofaWolf will be taking sums of money from me again so I can have something in my hot, sticky paws for you to sign
Your writing, sir, is Masterful as always. Seriusly, I see no reason why these books cna't be sitting on a shelf next to Harry potter, or that other writer, what's her name..the one with the gay vampire, the gay werewolf, and the pathetic hyuman..takes place in the pacific northwest......Anyways, Just hope..And I reaaaaaalllly hope you don't do this..end up with Dev and Lee splitting, or something else. There's alot I can bear to see, even if Lee's mom got sneaky cause she can't handle the fact her son is gay..well, it happens, it's sad, but it happens. But please, don't break them up.
Seriously though, I think your writing handles topics with professionality and maturity that is rarely scene in books these day's. You tell an engaging story, and I think you should really try and get these books out to a more mainstream audience. Yeah, the main charachter's are a gruff tiger and a cunning fox. So what. It's fiction. Come on Kyell, I"m rooting for ya, I think you could do it!
That's this wolf's two cents anyways..not that it's really worth two cent's..but still.
