It’s that particularly hectic time of the year again; that stretch right before Thanksgiving, all the way through to the New Year. I hope everyone has at least a little time planned in the future for their loved ones to just simply spend some time together. It’s far too easy to get wrapped up in the craziness and let our close friends and loved ones sit on the bench, when this is the time of year we should be especially embracing in the joy they bring to our lives. The camaraderie shared with loved ones is just the thing to counter all that holiday stress and hectic running about, so stop fretting over who is spending more on who this season and go spend some time with friends, family, your mate, your pets, etc.
That being said,
and I are hosting a Holiday dinner this upcoming Saturday (and to celebrate Kit being home again!) and we would be more than happy to share some food and good company with you! The only thing we ask is that you note ME so I can make sure there will enough food for everyone. (As well as give you our address! I will let you know we’re in the vicinity of Baltimore, and public transport travels quite close to our house.) If you should choose to bring a dish, that's great too!
Also, because I participated in it last year I’m making my “wishlist”. The rules are as follows:
STEP ONE
# Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with). The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV"). The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
# If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) can get in touch with you. Your home address is not required!
# Make sure you post some version of these guidelines, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
# Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part...
# If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes one person's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use - or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - do it.
# You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf - to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give and you might receive. You'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. New partial of Irime. Her head is pretty battered and beaten, and I don't think she handled the moisture of being in a Sandy-flooded SUV very well. The poor girl needs to be retired. My favorite suitmaker is dtwa, but I'm thinking I need to look at whoever can make the head washable.. but even a new set of paws or a new superfoof tail would rawk.
2. Cheshire cat merchandise. I love the Tim Burton Ches, and hoard what I can of him. I especially love plushes of him.
3. Pretty much anything purple and black tiger striped you can find.. if I don't already own it, haha!
4. Skylanders that I don't already have.
5. Disney BluRays (classics only!) I don’t already have. I’m a total Disney junkie as a result of being brought up watching the movies, so I’d love to own all the classic hand animated stuff. This isn’t a comprehensive list but I figure I could poke up a few I still want, including Beauty and the Beast, 101 Dalmatians, classic Alice in Wonderland, and Bambi. I don’t have any of the Princes movies but Beast is my favorite prince by far.
6. Hayao Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli BluRays. I realize most of these are licensed to the US through Disney but I consider these a class all themselves. I also know the two are not TRULY interswitchable names, but I list both as the ones I love best were made by Hayao during his days at Studio Ghibli. I haven’t yet seen Tales of Earthsea by his son so I’m not sure where I stand on that one.
7. Art of my characters. I love art of my characters, and I’m not a stickler on details for them either. If you want to draw something but don’t dig my 3 suits/sonas, feel free to ask. I have a dozen or so roleplay characters of varying builds and species. Please do not put them in mature situations without asking first!
8.A nice full set of Prismacolor markers would be nice. Thank you
!!!
9. New desktop computer. Mine is shot, and my laptop wasn’t meant to do EVERYTHING. Even parts for a new quad core or six core would be looooveeely.
10. New car to replace Kit's totalled Nissan Xterra. Or y'know.. the Mustang I've been wanting.

May your wishes come true.
Besides, if I had money to help folks kicked out of their residence, I'd be sending more support to a couple friends that were actually scared to death by an enraged family member wielding a gun at them.
I had someone suggest to me, that i post it on all the "christmas wishlist" journals i could find, since they're about spreading wishes.
Please feel free to permanently ignore me, and I apologize for having inconvenienced and upset you.
