Price Quotes:
I use my General Commissions Price Sheet (link) as a starting point and then apply discounts/extra charges when appropriate. Once I've given you a quote, the price won't change unless we both agree to significant changes in the drawing.
Payment:
I will E-mail you a PayPal money request.
I take payment before beginning a drawing, though for a full-texture image we can do it in two parts if you like.
If you would like a preview before paying the full price, I can do the line art as a separate transaction. The $10 will come out of the total price, not as an extra cost.
If you use a currency other than US Dollars, we can easily convert it in PayPal.
Contacting You / Contacting Me:
You should provide me with a reliable way to contact you fairly quickly (preferably within a day). FA and E-mail are my methods of choice. If I can't get a hold of you and you're next on the list, I might move on to the next person and do their commission first.
I check FA almost every day, so if you need to get a hold of me you ought to be able to do so quickly.
Rights to the Artwork and Terms of Service:
I retain the rights to all of my artwork. I may post it on any personal gallery/website/etc (such as here on FA). I may also sell merchandise of it (such as prints). If you would like for me to not do so, we might be able to work something out.
You (the client) cannot make a profit off of the image in any way. It can, however, be used to make personal graphics such as icons/wallpapers/etc for non-commercial use. You may redistribute the original image for non-commercial use (such as on your personal website/gallery), but you must clearly credit me and give a link to where I post it in my FA gallery.
I will send you an E-mail with these Terms of Service and ask you to verify that you agree to them in a reply E-mail (just so I have good documentation).
Other Notes:
I might work on multiple commissions at once, but the people at the top of the list of course have priority and I'll finish theirs first in almost all cases.
I might Livestream while working on your drawing unless you ask me not to.
Questions? Concerns?
If you have any questions/comments/etc please feel free to contact me here on FA. [=
And shall I reserve a slot for you? It's by no means an obligation, of course.
As for communication, Notes work just finr for me. It's not less a clutter than my email is really, and I find it easier just to keep FA things on FA, with the exception of WIP status updates. It's easier that way, rather than possibly submitting multiple WIPs in your scraps for something that should be between artist and commissioner to make sure if revisions are needed (which is often the case with those like myself who can only give textual descriptions of almost everything, though so far I seem to be describing well enough that artists get it on the first try, and even better than I'd imagined).
And sounds good. Feel free to note me with a description when you get the time to write one up. I'm really curious to know what you have in mind. ^^
