I've been getting some questions lately about the arctic fox furs carried by Fabric.com, Mendels, Fabric Depot, and ImStuffed (called fox there).
This fur is by far my favorite style of fur to use. It's about 2.5" pile, with a soft, sleek undercoat and shiny guardhairs evenly dispersed throughout the fur. It shaves spectacularly, and doesn't get as wooly as MM fox furs do when shaved. The extreme thickness of the fur makes even short shaving jobs very easy, with little chance of showing backing. It airbrushes wonderfully, and has no tendency to mat or clump. It comes in 4 standard colors (black, white, ivory, and brown) and occasionally you can find specialty colors (red, crimson, orange, purple). If only it came in grey and tan, I'd likely use it almost exclusively, this is how much I love working with this fur.
Again, always Google coupon codes before purchasing things online!

I have some of the ivory arctic fox. It is really nice fur to work with, and very soft. It does trim down nicely.

yus! just type in the website you're looking at for example, (fabric.com) and then coupon codes so "fabric.com coupon codes" and you'll get sites that will give you codes that people can and have used to get discounts. fabric.com has a lot. I haven't been as lucky for a couple other sites since that just means that they just don't have any. :/

I think it's also the stuff that fabricempire has as well! But I'm not positive. the fabricempire "winger fox" fur is absolutely fantastic and shaves down really well! and looks very realistic! http://www.fabricempire.com/faux-fu.....-the-yard.aspx

OP
I won't suggest Fabric Empire after my fiasco. They've lost my support.

oh true I forgot what happened to you. I have yet to have any of that happen to me and they have some of my favorite furs though are completely out of some that I've gotten before. But it's still a possibility.

is that white an actual snowy white, or is it that very slight off white that the MM white fox fur is?

OP
The white is a pure white, and the ivory is just a touch more offwhite than MM fox white. I personally prefer to use the ivory, it has a very nice warmth to it.

Love that fur! I used it on my own fox mask and it worked lovely! Compared to other "fashion fur" that just fell apart when shaving.
