When Doing An Art Trade With Me, Remember This.
Hello everyone, Andrew here wanting to clarify something to any of you planning on doing an art trade with me.
(If you'd like to skip to the point, scroll down until you see "---THE POINT---".)
Now I've been on the internet for 5 years now. ... Well... Technically, I've been on the internet longer than that, but I didn't spend as much time as I have been over the past 5 years. Ever since I got my first artist account on DeviantART, I have met over 50 people on the internet who claimed they were going to do something for me, but ended up not doing it. That's right, a total of 50 people not doing what they said they were gonna do. You could imagine how frustrating that is for me.
Through my entire internet experience, only 1 person actually did what they said they were gonna do, and I respect him for that. But not everyone else keeps their word, and it's now grown to the point where it's pissing me off.
Some of these people even give me excuses. And when I look at their gallery after seeing the excuse they give me, I discover that the excuse is falsified. Think about it, if someone is really doing something for me, how come the person in question is doing other art trades &/or commissions for people that come after me? It would be like as if I decide to do
roseraptor's gift art next instead of the people that come before her. That wouldn't be right, and it wouldn't be fair. It wouldn't be fair at all.
---THE POINT---
Bottom line, the point I'm trying to make with you all is, if you're gonna do an art trade with me, DO IT! Don't just say you're gonna do it and end up not doing it.
When I'm doing an art trade with someone, I'm doing an art trade. Not a gift art, not a commission, an art trade. Nothing more!
So remember that when you decide to do an art trade with me. If you're going to do something for/with me, I expect you to keep your word. For I will keep my word too, because I'd rather not be remembered as the guy that can't finish anything.
That's all I got to say to you all.
