My bday is pretty quiet this year, but we did do some nice things a couple days before my bday. xD The week started out rough, but it progressively got better!

But nature gave me the most INCREDIBLE birthday present this morning!! I know many do not share the same faith as I do, but the fact this happened on my birthday makes me incredibly happy. I went out to see the kittens this morning, whom are all safe in our neighbors garage...when this GORGEOUS red-tailed hawk swoops down right before me and alights in the tree in OUR yard!! I could FEEL the gust of wing from its wings, it was gorgeous!

The beautiful boy (I am assuming its a male, since it was smaller) had caught a black garden snake. We have redtails around rarely, and when we do they always land waaay off in giant ass trees. However, red-tails are by far my favorite bird. This boy KNEW I was watching him, he would constantly glance my way, fluff up his feathers and fan his wings. I took some wonderful pictures! I even got him on video (I HAPPENED TO HAVE MY CAMERA ON ME THAT MOMENT!!) eating the snake. xD He was flat out gorgeous. A wonderful birthday present <333 I had never been so close to a wild redtail before. Of course the neighborhood mockingbirds were NOT happy, nasty lil thangs.
