Holiday Wishlist
While I tear my hair out over yet another painfully stressful December I wanted to follow this semi-meme thing that a few of my friends are doing. And by a few of my friends, I just mean
da-end
=Step 1=
Make a post in your journal containing your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple to really big. The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where folks could get in touch with you.
=Step 2=
Surf around other lists to see who has posted their list. If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special
=Step 3=
[The List]
(I'll be honest, I don't expect any of these, or gifts. I feel guilty enough when someone does something for me and they want nothing in return and I don't feel as I deserve it. Of course that doesn't stop ME from doing the same so HYPOCRITE!)
1. A Better (Laptop) Graphics Card:
I like my laptop, been using it for about two years now and I use it pretty much every day. There's a great processor and RAM attached as well and it never overheats. Unfortunately, I didn't know the variety in Graphics Cards and found out little too late that I got one of the suckier ones. Intel HD Graphics Card Family made by Sandy Bridge which was great about five years ago but not so great now. It really kills me since I also own an XBox and HATE IT SOOO MUCCHHH. PC gaming is like playing on my PS2 or Gamecube or PS1 for the first time, there was little that could go wrong. EVERYTHING IS WRONG WITH AN XBOX, EVERYTHING.
2. A new more PC friendly tablet:
I got a rather fancy tablet a few years ago, same case as the laptop in terms of not knowing variety however. It's good, but it also chooses when it wants to work in terms of pen pressure and for other computers that don't even know of its existence and thus lack the drivers.
3. New iPod:
I always use things until they no longer work like they're supposed to and given how well I treat my stuff, that can go anywhere from one to forever years (in the case of Xbox Controllers ONE MONTH AT BEST). It was all fine and dandy until I dropped mine into the toilet on accident. WHOOPS. The home button's broken but everything else still works.
4. An idea:
I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for a job. I want to get into game design, but I can't really get attached to a single concept in game design other than "write stuff and draw bad concept art" which a lot of people can do. My classes aren't cheap either.
5. College tuition:
I pay for a lot of it out of my own pocket, plus loans of course. I'd like to go to a college that has more classes about game design but I lack the money among other things.
6. A couple users who actually understood what qualifies as sumo:
Huge pet peeve of mine involves users incorrectly using the term sumo. Ironically I don't do a TON of research when it comes to sumo wrestling, but I feel like a fucking genius compared to those who just draw obese characters wearing "that belt thing". I'd feel better if it was just a fetish deal, but I see this term used so liberally that I think these people actually believe themselves to be right.
Alright, enough of my personal lusting, here are things that are actually possible:
7. Attention for any of my characters:
Part of the reason I want to get into game design is I adore developing characters and take it very seriously. I should draw my characters more but now I actually have an excuse: acute stress. Honestly, I'd love critique if I'm doing something wrong or attention for my characters so I would feel like it's worth drawing and writing about them more.
8. Fan (or even just "this is that artist's character doing something they would normally do") Art/writing:
I think I'd need more of number six before this opens up, but what makes me the absolute happiest is when someone draws or writes something with my characters in it. If there is anything that anyone could do for me this Christmas that I'd love to see, it would be this.
9. Critique:
I draw out of hobby instead of a brief idea of making a career out of it now. That doesn't mean that I don't want to get better.
10. More Gardevoir, Milotic, and Dragonair pictures:
Preferably overweight to obese ones. With good hips and ass (Hint: Like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9343289/ ). And female. There aren't enough fat of these (that aren't blob sized which is a no-no).
11. Pony

...That was a Persona 4 hiimdaisy reference I have no idea what you're talking about.
