Today officially means that there are just 6 more months before Christmas. No, today wasn't created as a commercialist ploy to do your shopping early, it was created by a local radio station in order to raise awareness that from between now and Dec. 25th, there will be a lot of people who will not live to see the holidays becase of drunk-driving, speeding, jaywalking, or other reckless acts of traffic stupidity. So every year on this day, that station plays Xmas music to remind everyone to stay alive so they can be annoyed by "Jingle Bell Rock" at it's correct season. So for all of you Furs out there, be safe out there, and Don't Drink and Drive.
