New admins, according to a few, are ruining everything. Someone even told me a certain admin is targeting diaperfur/babyfur art for removal.

Well, the characters in it LOOKED young (but the description said no) and it got removed. But again, one user said this. I can note you who told me this if you'd like.

Look, If I'd draw a baby-like character in a mature situation, but told the audience the character is actually 9000 years old, I'm sure you understand that we can't allow that.
The "minors" rules apply both to characters that "look" and / or "are" young.

That's nonsense. There's no rule in place against diaperfurs / babyfurs, unless they're breaking other FA rules, of course.

Now, regarding screenshots:
They usually can't be taken as evidence, they're too easy to fake. The only reliable evidence we can really get is data that's currently on FA.
So, in cases of harassment, I'd suggest blocking the user and "hiding" comments (As soon as a button says "delete", the evidence is gone, too. Only "hide" things, if you must)

Agreed, it's much better to copy the comments location when you see it happen.

Image Submission? Copy submission URL.

I normally include a screenshot as well incase it was taken down but AFAIK those can be recovered normally? Oh wait you just stated there. If they removed a submission / journal it's gone.

You can hide your own journal comments, but you can't delete your own shouts from another user's page.

We can see hidden comments, so as long as the "Subject" of the harassment doesn't delete the journal, we can "kick the harasser's nuts"

And if they do delete the journal? Then the harassers win and the only thing we have is screenshots to try to give us the justice in having them banned. This is why people off themselves because harassers know the back door to avoid getting in trouble. Sometimes even the victims delete their journals or shouts because they don't want others to see those rude comments. I even had someone harassing me for 10 months he keeps ban evading to write bullshit in my journals I tried to report him but my tickets go unanswered for months till someone else reports the same person. It took 3 months till the guy was finally banned a second time but he says he knows how to by pass the IP bans. :/

That's why targets f harassment should get familiar with the "block" function. Block your harasser, report the issue, hide his comments, DON'T respond to the harasser. This way the harasser isn't getting anything out of the target, and the target still has all the evidence he needs.

Really, if anyone's being harassed, the last thing they should be doing is deleting evidence, or responding to the harassment.

You can't delete your own shouts. Nor journal comments, you can hide them though. Admins can see through those though.

Basically, I am saying, if there was a troll that posted someones dox for like... say 4 hours, then deleted it. Admins couldn't act on anything. Is what you are saying. Along with a journal. (typical admin response time is WAY above that too unless you are lucky)

Though because of that, honestly? I can't even think of a system to prevent people from hiding those such things. Aside from a cache back-end that holds them for up to a month. Deleted submissions/journals then they are cleared automatically..

That would be a good idea. Because that or screenshots are the only way to try proving it happened if it gets deleted before a TT can be answered (Which usually happens, because TTs get answered sluggishly, which I hope to see improve with the new meat).

Some kind of back-end cache is high on our list of priorities.

That second part: EXACTLY. Photoshop comes into play frequently.

Its been in effect for a while now, reason is too many people photoshoped the screenshots. So because a handful of people know how to do it I guess everyone does now,.

Admins also have no consistency, I stopped reporting things unless its AUP related =/
At least you can give direct links to pics but journals and comments are harder to catch.

I've noticed some admins aren't on the same page as far as TT reporting rules, and I think that's why this confusion is happening. Because I was never told that screenshots aren't allowed, and I've used them in reports plenty of times.

We have some new guidelines to get everybody on the same page, actually.

I know you have guidelines now but it was a past issue, I have noticed ticket being answered alot faster recently. I make tickets for AUP related issues but if I feel something is really bad I try to contact more directly.

Sometimes, we can find on-site evidence, from data in a screenshot, but we can't accept a screenshot as evidence, if that's the only thing we have. (If there's nothing else to find)

Damn it I sent the comment before finishing it... Anyway if I report something I feel needs to be looked at right away I usually try to contact an admin directly. Usually Neer and trpdwarf, they have been the ones to get results fastest and fairly.

Ah okay. Yah I used to report directly to admins in Notes before, but I haven't been able to since Warmock stopped being an admin. Last time I tried noting an admin, they told me not to note them, then promptly added to their profile that they don't want to be noted about FA issues, and to open a TT instead. :/

It's just like new Admins were put in the Games and they screw up the rulings many times.

Go tell that to DuelingNetwork Admins... there were too many Admins that just slacked off in the chatroom or just abusing their powers by banning random duelists for no reasons. That's where I have seen from.

We've never allowed screenshots to be used in tickets. It's been a policy since 2005 not to accept screenshots as evidence.

I've used screenshots before and it was acceptable. How are people supposed to prove anything then?

If a screenshot is in the ticket we will make every attempt possible to verify the information that was in it. Sometimes we still can verify the claim through a comment look up, the users' other behavior, etc.

We have our ways.

I see, well it would have been nice if an admin had told me that, instead of just saying it was resolved haha! Could have saved me a lot of time gathering screenshots for TTs then >.>

Here's the reason we don't take take screenshots. You can do this in about 20 seconds in Fierfox using Firebug. You can edit any screenshot to say what you want, how you want, or make anybody look outright evil, immature, violating policy, etc.

Then why do the old admins accept them? I had no problem when posting screenshots as proof especially when it came to art thieves. I tried to report someone who is doing false bids but she removed her journal. I have no other way to give proof right now. :/

We don't. We do comment searches, account looks up, dig into the user's account, see what we can find. Sometimes there are still links to verify claims. But we don't use screenshots by themseleves.

Well it would have been nice for this one admin to do some searching all she told me you don't accept screenshots and asked for any other proof.
I have no other proof except for the user false bidding and I don't really think that is proof.
