Today my wife and I become parents. At 11 AM (in a little over 90 minutes) we'll arrive at the adoption center and get to meet our daughter. After some paperwork and some videos (on stuff like SIDS) we'll bring her home. The bassinet is set up. We have infant car seats, a stroller, clothes, diapers, towels, blankets, etc... we are all prepared for the first week. We'll also need to buy the crib, rocker, and changing table, but those we'll get in the coming days.

At present I think we're doing okay. Some lullaby CDs might be nice, and in a few months we're going to need clothes for her as she gets a little bit older. Kim and I will come up with an eventual theme and let folks know. For now, prayers are the best. If somebody really wants to send us money we'll never say no to that of course!
