A poem...
Some black, some white, some in the grey,
Like me, many timid or simply afraid.
Most who don't fit in tend to just hide,
Blend in the crowd, your differences subside.
But stigma and slurs can really hurt and sting,
when you haven't even done to them anything.
They spot you out and quickly warn the rest.
Your intentions nor feelings they never try to test.
They see a monster, and slam down the book,
when all their claims are just based on your looks.
I never hurt others nor gave them just cause,
yet their hatred and fear is never given pause.
I have the power to hurt and could choose to sin,
but only wanted friendship, a way to fit in.
They act as one flock, and to them I'm nothing,
For I am a wolf among sheep in wool clothing.
