So I'm writing the ending for
bogrim's writing contest for the ending of Damian's Tournament, so I might as well introduce a character in case I might use her, even though she's pretty much on the early stages of development! She's a character based on Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4 and the sister of the crazy scientist Phoebe, Claudia!
"I have complete faith in all of you. And I will aid you in any way, not just as a member of the police force, but as a friend."
Who is Claudia?
Full Name: Claudia Atoms
Species: Raccoon
Age: 24
Normal Attire/Appearance: Since she's Phoebe's sister, it's natural that she looks like an older version of her (by four years), meaning yes, she's curvier than her younger sister and her hair is shorter. Her clothing consists of a blue beret on her head, a long blue jacket with a black shirt underneath, blue pants and black shoes, which is odd for a policewoman to dress casually but they are her squad's colors.
Weapon(s): Her pistol as well as other firearms
Elemental Specialty: None
"Please, no need to refer to me as Officer Atoms, just call me Claudia."
Claudia is Phoebe's older sister and unlike her silly scientist sister, Claudia's a serious policewoman. Claudia is mature, knowledgeable, and always one to trust and not just because she's a cop. However, she puts her job first, which makes her a bit rough at times. She always does the good cop/bad cop trick when questioning people, however, her methods does go a bit too far. She always looks at things more logically and knows that even though the job is done, there still might be answers and refuses to let the case close until everything comes together and all questions have been answered. This mindset has her be known by her boss as the "Seeker of Truth" and some members of her squad and her sister, "The Analytic Killjoy." She will do anything to get the truth, even if it means she has to do unauthorized investigations...
"I have the rights to know all sides of the story. When the pieces come together, the story starts to make sense, bringing us one step closer to the truth."
Claudia was supposed to carry on her family's path to be scientists, doctors or technicians. Her brilliant mind had once given her a bright future to look forward to. However, Claudia noticed how messed up the justice system is, allowing some criminals walk free while the innocent end up arrested. That's what happened to her best friend who was accused of an unspeakable incident that killed an entire rich family and left only one survivor. Claudia knows that her best friend is innocent, but couldn't prove it at the time. She refused to let the justice system convict her friend while there are still unanswered questions and inconsistent stories about the case. She gave up everything her family wanted her to be in order to become a policewoman. Of course, her family did not approve of this, but there was no stopping her. She joined the police academy sometime after graduating from high school, where she had honed her physical prowess in the form of agility and became a brilliant sharpshooter after her first shot of a gun, never missing her target since. Rather than brute strength most cops use, Claudia uses logic and reasoning, setting her apart from the other members of her squad. She's hard at work every day, even at her days off because Claudia prefers to dress herself as a normal civilian so no one would suspect she's a part of the police, which will usually pull criminals right into her trap.
"I'll fight, for the sake of justice!"
Claudia is all about being quick and decisive, mostly attacking from range. Her melee attacks are fast, but they don't do any good. However, her ability to hit enemies and keep a safe distance is remarkable. She is also the master at inflicting status effects upon enemies with her many firearms. These status effects include poison, silence, blindness, paralysis, etc. While she can't take many hits and her attacks are weak, the status effects she inflicts can really turn the tide of the battle.
