You force the insistent urgings from your body away once more, wanting to learn more about what the Healer has to say. She goes on about the silly rumors and unproven facts about the Council, but something catches your attention.
"There is some talk, of course, about secrets that the Council is keeping silent about. The fact that they are refusing to speak to anyone- including the Hunters- about the sudden loss of sight, hearing and scent among our best warriors is being regarded as proof that they are hiding the truth of this matter."
"And what is the truth supposed to be, Mora?"
The bobcat's wrinkled face darkens, a grim sign by her elder wisdom.
"That these Canid's have the power to destroy us, if they so wish."
The implication causes you to jump slightly- such a thing is hard to imagine in a world without cliché's.
"The entire tribe? How could that be?"
"They have weapons that we cannot comprehend. Strange air surrounds them, though which they have poisoned the Hunters. It is not a thing I fully understand, but the Council surely does. Ever since the first Canid attacks, every Council member- including your parents- have felt tainted, touched by an unknown force. Then, days later, the Hunter's lose their gifts of sense."
Indeed, the chain of events and their effects have some troubling implications, but you're not yet sure that it fully concerns you. It may be worth asking your parents about all of this when you get home, you can't go thinking your parents are some kind of spirit slave to an unknown evil just by the words of one person, no matter how long you've known them.
You're about to ask something else when your bladder suddenly flips out at constantly being ignored, and you have to jam a fist between your legs to keep it calm. This time there's really no choice, you have to excuse yourself from Mora's hut.
"Um, I'll have to continue this discussion with you another day, Mora. I have something to attend to."
She quickly notices as you stand up and back away toward the door.
"Ah, I see the medicine has taken it's final effect. Go take care of it then, and be sure not to put it off anymore today."
"Wha- what!? Y-you mean...?"
The Healer smiles more at your shocked expression than at your predicament, though it unsettles you all the same.
"As I said previously, Anamaki, the medicines given to you cleanse the blood. Our blood normally contains traces of the things we eat and drink, and to be direct, it all needs to go somewhere if it's no longer in our blood."
(+15% Peemeter: Surprise diuretic side-effect.)
The realization hits you and you almost panic as more "clean blood" gets flushed through your system, but you remain as polite as you can and bow to her slightly. You then rush out of the room and back onto the street. You need to find someplace to let go, but you're not sure where. The road has a few people moving toward and away from you, going wherever they want, making it impossible to just do your business anywhere. As you look around, however, you notice something that sends a chill down your spine. The green-cloaked Felinid from the Plaza, perched on the edge of a nearby roof, had it's gaze upon you.
