Things are looking up(ish)!

Hey all, it's been a while, I've been busy but it's time to let you all know what's going on. Things have been slowly getting better but I wanted to wait until they were definite to start telling you.
Customs update:
The best outcome, got everything back just yesterday , everything is in good shape. I didn't get a cool release form to shove in peoples faces if this situation occurs again but I'll see what I can do about that. Either way it was all admissible. I talked to the agent handling my case and he said it didn't count under bestiality law because there weren't any *actual* animals (duh) but the FUNNY part was his parting words to me. "It's a shame I had to sere it under these circumstances but you and your friends, you do good work." I thanked him very much for the kind words. Who knows, maybe we 'turned' a CBSA officer to the fandom? ;) Either way, all said and done, it was quiet and professionally handled best ending.
Health update:
Gawd Damn, so many doctor visits. finally saw my eye doctor a few days ago and he told me my eye had a hemorrhage. (which is why it went blurry while at FC) but I've been taking my meds religiously and as instructed by another doctor, sitting up in bed when I sleep and the eye has been improving. nowhere near perfect but better than the FC incident. I have to go in for more lasers in a week, just had blood tests yesterday and gotta go in today (in 2 hours) for a prescription update, I'm seeing the doctors more than I'm seeing my friends these days. Also got new glasses so my eyes are getting used to that as well.
But over all, a decent situation.
Art Update:
Not as awesome as I would like, I'm slowly killing commissions and not taking new ones (still) but at the moment working towards a couple deadlines which is pushing my commissions schedule back a little. I swear on my eyes I will get these done, I just kinda wish things were clear ahead of me. I'll tell you this, I thought not having a job would allow me to work more and faster on art but I've been slow and some days I just sit and plop around the house. I need to get off my butt. It doesn't help that I'm the go to guy for a lot of folks and have been busy planning trips, cons and hotels between doctor visits and the occasional picture. I need to start structuring my life a bit, hopefully I can do that sooner rather than later.
Travel update:
Lords what a mess. things are not all that bad but just a lot of shuffling dates around and trying to make people happy. So far I am doing these trips/conventions:

Furnal Equinox
Japan (yes, Japan is a convention)
Looks like Elliot's (ESG) is in a new location, new experience, check out the website for more info. https://elliottsliveevents.org/node/374 Unfortunately, I may not be able to attend if Japan trip is happening during.
Possibly Trinidad. My mom wants to visit and I may go but plans are unclear.
Vancover. I'm an uncle for th3 6th time so i may visit my brother to celebrate, unclear on dates though.
So I'll see what I can do to avoid missing cons but Family (and Japan) comes first.

Been catching up on shows like Young Justice, Adventure time and regular show in my time off. Been commissioning some talented artists to draw my pervy porncraft characters, that's always fun. Been slowly catching up on my owed artwork, thanks for all your patience. I may not answer notes right away but I won't ditch on you, believe that.
So that's pretty much it for now, thanks for all the letters and notes of support through a wacky time. Hope you are all doing good and I should have some art to post soon. Be well out there. :)

Best of luck with your eyes there. Scary stuff, no doubt about it. My mom just went through eye surgery on her one remaining functional eye ... thankfully it all worked, no complications, but zomg, it would have been a nightmare if she lost it.

I hear you on structuring my days. Being nocturnal, getting onto a day schedule is difficult, and even then, trying to carve out specific hours to work is really hard for me. Probably because if I'm home and awake, I'm working, heh. At that point where I need to bust my ass to secure any income, and I'm still behind where i need to be. Scheduling really does help though, and I hope you're able to succeed at least partially with it.

Health and Art - Dang, that's rough, regarding the eye hemorrhage issue, but I'm glad to hear that it's improving now from the meds and other instructions you've been following (sitting up while sleeping, etc.). Hopefully your eye (and overall health) will continue to improve over time from the lasers, blood tests, and so on. Don't worry too much about commissions, as your health should take higher priority. As for structuring your life, I know what you mean...I need to work on that myself, given my current daily schedule with work, college, finding time for exercise and hanging with friends, etc. ;^^
Travel - Wow...that's a lot of cons that you have planned out for going to. Especially AC and Japan cons and Trinidad to visit family. Hopefully, each of them will pan out okay!
