I love daleks! (Just checkout my gallery...)

*giggle* Who wouldn't love daleks? They're the awesomest thing ever, and I'm pretty sure they just need a hug! ^.^

I know. They're not really evil, just a little bit cranky. You'd be cranky to if some maniac calling himself a doctor (but lacks any evidence of a degree) kept trying to kill you and your friends...

Sadly, I've never really seen that many episodes of Dr. Who (and those a mishmash of different seasons). Still, just about everyone I know recommends it so I'll have to give another look sometime soon!

You really really should! You can probably find old video tapes of the original series cheapish where you are, they seem to still be everywhere... ^.^

We have some streaming of them here. The DVDs of what you can't stream tend to be rather expensive here...

I'm a few decades behind the times, I know, but I was talking more about buying VHS tapes from a charity shop... ^.^

Actually, I haven't seen any good videotapes in thrift stores for a number of years.

I'm so excited for the new series! I can't wait to see how the new companion is because I believe she has just that right amount of cleverness to match wits with the Doctor!

Yep yep, I think she should be good too, but we'll just have to wait and see... ^.^

Y'know, I can thank Doctor Who broadcasts on the local PBS station (it's a publicly & privately funded not for profit television network) in the 80s for giving me a cultural touchstone that I can share with my UK friends-- being absolutely terrified of the Daleks and hiding behind furniture when I saw them as a child.

*giggle* Fear of Daleks can unify the whole world!

Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, and The Young Ones are just a few of the ones I remember from PBS.

Ah the Daleks. Gotta love em. I got introduced to Doctor Who with the modern relaunch of the show with our bald Doctor who first met Rose. Can't remember which number he is or the actor's name though I recognized him as the general from 28 Days Later. Think my fav Doctor was the one that followed him though. That said gotta love the Daleks. They do a good job of just bringing a sense of menace and malevolence to the screen. Their a foe who can't be negotiated with because all they want is for you and everything that isn't them to die. Also loved seeing them face off against the cybermen. ^^ "Cybermen are better than Daleks!" "In what way?" "You DIE Better!"

As for me did a lil sketching so far today and watched some Planet of the Apes and planning to watch Jurassic Park later. On that note Squeee! The original Jurassic Park is being re-released in theaters this April in 3D. I remember when I first went to go see it. I was 5 I think and seated in the front row and the T-Rex scene made me squeeze the life out of my mom's arm. XD Hope to go see it come April for the nostalgia factor. Might try and lay paws on a Jurassic Park T-shirt to wear and of course I think I'll see this one diapeed up. With a pair of Batman briefs as a diaper cover. Hehe.

David Tennant really was an awesome Doctor. I feel bad about saying it, since I'm such a big fan of the classic series too, but he's probably my favourite ever. And yaaaay, dinosaurs! *giggle*

Heh yeah my dad's a big fan of the classic Doctors. Not sure which is his favorite but I credit him for introducing me to Doctor Who and a number of other scifi series that I came to love like Andromeda and of course StarTrek. ^^

May not be a big fan of Doctor Who but the Daleks I do always think are always amusing to listen to, "WHICH ONE OF YOU IS LEAST IMPORTANT?!"
