some super-generous stranger gave me a huge fucking amazon.com gift certificate which i immediately spent on a super-rare copy of GALAXY TRUCKER 5TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION omg omg this is the coolest game! it's a board game where you spend about 2 minutes frantically grabbing pieces, competing with your friends to put a ship together (think Pipe Dream) and then send it into space where crazy things happen... maybe you fly through an asteroid field, in which case you should have bought shields... or maybe you find some priceless goods, in which case you should have bought cargo space? or maybe you find pirates, in which case you should have bought guns!! it's very goofy and fun and always ends in tragedy, but it's so fun watching your ships get blown apart. thank you thank you!!
