I could be a popufur, but here's why I am not.

1. while I may be narcissistic, I am not narcissistic enough to socialize constantly with people.
2. It's hard work to get to that level, and I cannot be bothered with it.
3. my art, while nice looking is mostly very unoriginal stuff.
4. Most popufurs sicken me. They may act like nice people but most of them are real assholes who don't give a shit about this community, and are only here for the money...boy oh boy do I wish I could point out examples.
5. I'm mean to some people, and have a short temper. I have never been able to fake that nice guy attitude. People who really know me, Know that I can be a tremendous prick sometimes.

Who cares about the popular part anyway, they are popular because their character gets fucked, popular for who they really are not...Half those people spend all their money on shit like that, then ask for money to pay for bills or something.

fact of the matter, being a good artist doesn't make someone a good person.
it takes a good person to be a humble socialite, or remotely thoughtful at all. absolute power corrupts absolutely, and sooner or later a popular anything will start to have their fame go to their head.
people aren't just people to them, people are just "more guys who like my work" whether that be an artist, actor, singer, or whathaveyou. they start having this mental filter of who's "okay" and who's actually "good enough" and it's not really something that can be circumvented unless said artist/actor/or musician is a good PERSON which is the reason I follow anyone's work.
if they're creative, and a good enough person to have earned my respect. =3
(I usually block/unwatch people whom seem full of themselves or drunk on power)
