Hey all!
I just wanted to update you on my existence. It is indeed a thing - even though there's little evidence of it here. But! That's going to change soon...
I admit, i've been pretty terrible. I haven't finished any commissions in a while; i've been making people wait, and i've been slow to respond to folks... whether they're giving me general inquiries or compliments, or whatever else.
I've just been going through some sort of oscillating malaise... 2012 was a pretty shitty year, and i'm still reeling from it. Between spending thousands of dollars to fix a car that i couldn't even drive and then the death of my old PC, it was pretty taxing in a variety of ways. But i THINK the worst parts are past.
I feel a surge of motivation and strength coming on... so, expect to see some things. It might sound stupid - but saying this stuff and admitting i've been a pretty lousy, unprofessional artist, makes it easier to come out of hiding and fix the things that have been dogging me.
Totally going to do that! I've been sitting here feeling overwhelmed for far too long. I have to break off the burdensome shell one piece at a time until it's finally gone and i can float up to the surface again to imbue myself with a breath of real air. Maybe eventually i'll even be able to take some more commissions :D
I've been good at least, in that regard... it's been quite a while since i've taken any new commissions (with the exception of the two Furoticon cards i did - look for those this summer ;> ) so at least my list of work hasn't grown.
But now it's time to make it smaller.

I'm going to be gone for the week attending my Grandmother's funeral, and since i'll have no internet i'm going to take a few things with me to finish up. When i get back i'll see about updating my posted queue (it's VERY outdated) with an accurate list of what i have to do so i can figure out what's been forgotten and determine an attack strategy. I really need a secretary... buhh
Anyway, i hope everyone else has been awesome! I'm looking forward to not being a butt :G

Keep in this positive vibe and I´m sure you´ll do fine.
About the secretary deal though, you oughta check out this website called Trello (https://trello.com/), it´s an online project organizer which also has an app for your phone.
I´ve fallen in love with the program because it´s so easy to use and you can shape it to meet your personal needs. Maybe it´s worth checking out to keep track of your future commissions and even personal work.
I hope to see you around a bit more, but I´ll completely understand if you happen to need some offline time again throughout the year. Life can be hard sometimes and it´s best to focus on what´s important then, rather than what you think others need.
My condolences for your grandmother, good luck at the funeral.
sorry to hear about the issues, though. especially your grandma... it's never easy to lose a family member.

and i'm glad to know I;m not the only artist that just fails at keeping track and finishing those long lost commissions. Even if the commissioner seems to be patient..man I feel guilty every day. >.< (I have one over a year due..i lost the notebook it was in and just now found it under my old schoolbooks..)
Dragon jaws are pretty strong, should be able to crunch right through it.
I'll try not to eat anything under it. Well, I'll try a little at least.
